York Theatre Royal Youth Theatre is for anyone aged between 5 and 19 who are interested in seeing, making and performing pieces of theatre. It is also a great way to make new friends, have lots of fun and build your confidence.Youth Theatre runs between September and July in three 10/12 week terms. Each term the young people work with their project leader to create a piece of theatre which is linked thematically to other productions at the theatre, for a sharing or performance.
The termly fee is currently: £87 full fee £66 for families on low income (below £14,500 for a single parent family and below £16,200 for a family with two resident parents/carers)£31.50 for families in receipt of means-tested benefits
If you do not fit into one of these categories but would like to request a reduced fee for other reasons please contact us and we will do our best to help.
