Arriving at school and dropping children off

• Children can be dropped off at their classrooms between 8:40am and 8:55am.

• Please take your child to their classroom door at the rear of foundation stage under the canopy. As soon as your child is settled, this is where you will say good bye.

• Here they will meet their class teacher and teaching assistant and they will be welcomed into the classroom, independently. Staff are fantastic at settling the children in class.

• This is also where your child will keep their own named pair of Wellington boots underneath their peg alongside their daily mile shoes.

• Please NAME ALL your child’s belongings.Wellington boots are stored together under the bench.

Please name these.

Daily mile shoes and lunch boxes are

stored under your child’s peg.

Coats and any bags can be hung up on your child’s peg.

When I arrive in class• Once your child in settled into the classroom there will be activities to

play with on the carpet area. Here they can enjoy playing with their peers until we begin our day when the bell rings at 8:55am. Staff are excellent at settling children in their first few weeks. Parents must be off site once the bell has rung.
