Clothing

Children must dress suitable for play and crafts.

Children will have P.E. two times a week (and will play on the playground every day. Tennis shoes must be worn.

Girls need to wear shorts under their dresses and skirts.

An extra change of clothing is suggested. Please leave a change of clothes in a zip lock bag in your child’s book bag. Please label clothing/jackets.

Snack

Boston Kindergarten Classes each have a daily snack time. Our late lunch necessitates the need for snack. Each child is responsible for bringing his/her individual snack. We have water in the room so there is no need for drinks.

Lunch Lunch cost is $1.65 and $.50 for juice/milk.

Please help your child learn lunch number. It is punched in daily to keep up with purchases.

A lunch envelope will come home for your child’s money on Friday. The envelope must be filled out and the money returned to school the next day. Please make sure all cash is in an envelope.

If you have any other children at this school, please do not send all their money together.

Please do not send money for several things on one check. I.E. – Field trip money and lunch money on one check.

Lunch

If you are able, please send your child’s lunch money for the entire week on Monday.

Kindergarten does not participate in purchasing ice cream.

If you are planning on having lunch with your child, please send a note so we can notify the lunch room of your attendance. Our lunchtime is 1:04-1:34.

Birthday Parties

You are more than welcomed to send cupcakes or cookies for your child’s birthday. Please notify me a day ahead of time if possible. No ice cream!

No balloons are allowed to be delivered to school.

Birthday invitations are only allowed to be passed out to every child in the classroom.

When a child earns 5 magic sticks he or she can turn them in to go to the treasure box.

Transportation

Kindergarten car riders will be dismissed at 3:15.

Please fill out your child’s transportation daily on the communication sheet.

Please do not e-mail transportation changes. Teachers do not have a chance to call about changes.

Transportation

If there is a confusion about your child’s transportation, the teacher will place your child in after school and you will have to pay the after school fee.

If your child is going home with another child, both children must have a note signed by the child’s parent.

Although payment for trips is strictly voluntary, we must receive the money from all students as the school does not have the funds to supplement any monetary shortages.
