ALL-NIGHT EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

ST. THERESE CHURCH

1ST FRIDAY NOV. 3—SATURDAY NOV. 4 Adoration begins on Friday after 8 am Mass and continues all day and

throughout the night, ending on Saturday morning at

6 am. We invite people to come and spend an hour in silent, prayerful

adoration before Our Lord in the Eucharist, where we can speak with

Jesus, heart to Heart. Jesus invites us:

Holy Name & Ladies Society Thanksgiving Luncheon All Holy Name and Ladies Society members are invited to attend

a Thanksgiving luncheon in the church hall on Sunday, November

5, immediately following the 10am Mass. Each member is wel-

come to bring one guest. There is no charge for the luncheon

which will feature turkey and all the traditional Thanksgiving side

dishes. (A member is one who has paid their 2017 annual dues.)

All members of the parish are invited for the Commemoration of the Souls of All the Faithful Departed, especially those who are griev-

ing due to the death of a loved one. Masses will be celebrated on Thursday November 2 at 7:15 am; noon (Latin Mass); and 5:30 pm.

INDULGENCES ON ALL SOULS DAY & FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER On All Souls Day AND from Nov. 1-8, the Church grants a plenary indulgence, applicable only to the souls in Purgatory, for the following: All

Souls Day: visit a church & recite one Our Father & the Creed, or from Nov. 1-8: visit a cemetery & pray for the dead; AND fulfill the normal condi-

tions for gaining a plenary indulgence: a) receive Holy Communion; b) go to sacramental Confession within 8 days; c) pray for the Pope (Our Father,

Hail Mary, Glory Be); and d) remain free from all attachment to sin. We can gain a plenary indulgence once a day and apply it to ourselves or a soul in

Purgatory, for the following good works (if we fulfill the normal conditions, a/b/c above): pray a Rosary with others; read Scripture ½ hour; or pray a

Rosary before the Eucharist.

Ladies Society Christmas Party The Ladies Society Christmas

party will be held on Sunday, December 3, at 12:30pm at Casa

Capri. Members are welcome to bring guests. Cost per person is

$20. Reservations and money are due at the November 14 Ladies

Society meeting. Please contact Claudia Presta at 914.0672 or Cin-

Ladies Society Meeting The Ladies Society will be meeting on

Tuesday, November 14, at 6:30pm in the church hall following the

Rosary at 5pm and Mass at 5:45pm. The main topics of discussion

will be the October spaghetti dinner, Christmas party and the St

Joseph Table. We will also have our annual Thanksgiving and

Christmas games! A light meal will be served. Anyone interested

in joining the Ladies Society is encouraged to attend the meeting.

We hope to see everyone there!
