With the Lenten season upon us we have begun our journey toward the Paschal Mystery, celebrated during Holy Week and Easter. While we celebrate the Paschal Mystery each tome we celebrate Mass, this holy season helps us deepen our appreciation for the Lord’s saving action. Through our own works of self-denial we grow closer to Jesus, who “emptied himself” for our sake. Lent helps us be more intentional about our spiritual practices and more intentional about our discipleship.

No one is a disciple “by accident”. Jesus did not choose you by accident. There is a reason you are here, and this season stands at the heart of who we are as Christian disciples. Over these next 40 days, let’s remain united in prayer and celebration so that we may share fully in the joy of Easter.
