Our Lady of La Salette Parish
Our Mission Statement
We, the Roman Catholic Family of Our Lady of La Sale!e, have the living
and welcoming presence of Jesus Christ as the center of our life, especially
in the Eucharist. Through worship, the proclama"on of the Gospel, service,
and the work of the New Evangeliza"on, we con"nue the reconciling
ministry of Jesus Christ.
We only need to sell 13 more tickets to be able to give the ALASKAN CRUISE to a lucky winner!
But, we don’t want to sell “just enough” tickets. We need to sell many more. 150 tickets are available.
We will be selling tickets at the parish offices during the week and at the auction, right up until Father Connell draws the winning ticket.
Cash, check and credit card are accepted. License #R46378

Our Upcoming
GuideBook & Directory
We are in the process of updating the GUIDEBOOK & DIRECTORY for Our Lady of La Salette Church. The book will contain information about our ministries, organizations, committees, activities and
events, plus a directory of all members.
An Opportunity to
Advertise
The GUIDEBOOK & DIRECTORY will be provided and direct-mailed to each family at no cost to our church. It is subsidized by the local businesses that advertise. If you own or manage a business and would like to find out about advertising in our book, please call the parish office,
(248) 541-3762.
Recent survey results by Guide Book Publishing show that most parish families would rather patronize a parish advertiser over a non-advertiser. It will pay to advertise in our new GUIDEBOOK & DIRECTORY.
Update YOUR Membership Information
Does our church database have your family membership record correct? Here is your chance
to update your record for our annual GUIDEBOOK & DIRECTORY.
It is time for us to update our database with any changes, additions, or deletions that may have
occurred in your family over the past two years.
Have you changed your phone number? Deactivated a land line? Added a cellular number? Have you moved? Are all of your children still at home and are they all included in your
membership record?
Do you want your record published? Unless you OPT OUT, you will automatically be included in the 2018 GUIDEBOOK. Parishioners who DO NOT wish to be included must OPT OUT of the book. To opt-out, just let us know by April 22nd.
Please contact the parish office about changes to your record, please let us know now so that the information in the GUIDEBOOK & DIRECTORY will be correct. Call (248) 541-3762, extension 10 or e-mail [email protected]. Thank you for your help!

Second Sunday of Easter In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus explains the meaning of the scriptures. Like the disciples, when we offer and receive forgiveness our hearts burn because we encounter the risen Christ within us.
Have you considered answering the call to “help the poor find forgiveness and healing in their life” by joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul? Our next meting is tomorrow night (Monday) at 7:00 p.m. in the parish activities building. Please join us in this mission of charity.
Is there a family you know who needs assistance? Please call the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at (248) 541-3762 and tap in extension 44 so that together we can help.
Discovering Your Gifts Charism Workshop May 1, 3,8,10 and15 from, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Our Lady Queen of Martyrs
In this time between Easter and Pentecost, we as a Church take time to reflect on our purpose and mission, as called forth by Jesus Christ. Unleash the Gospel, the pastoral letter from Synod 16, speaks to the importance of knowing our spiritual gifting for ministry and mission. Discovering how God has gifted us as well as learning the ways of prayer to discern His invitation to mission are key to becoming joyful missionary disciples.
Have you been:
· Wondering how do I get involved in ministry and evangelization?
· Contemplating a change in career?
· In a life transition wondering “what’s next”?
· Yearning to learn more about prayer and discernment?
· Thinking there’s got to be more to my baptism and confirmation?
· Wanting to grow in faith?
· Wondering how Our Blessed Mother’s Way is a model for our walk with Jesus?
If you answered “yes” to any of these, then Discovering Your Gifts Charism workshop is for you!
The course will be presented by Judy Maten and Mary Garlow of Via Maria Consulting, LLC. The five session workshop will be offered on May 1, 3, 8, 10 and 15 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Social Hall, 32340 Pierce, Beverly Hills,. A soup and bread meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. For information and registration go to https://
dygolqm.eventbrite.com. Cost for the workshop is $25 which includes all materials. In addition, a free will offering will be accepted to offset the cost of hospitality. If you have questions or wish to mail your registration please call Judy at (313) 268 1985.
