Our Lady of Mercy Happenings

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY-Sunday, April 28th Exposition of the Blessed

Sacrament follows the 10:45am

Mass through the prayer service

at 3:00 pm.

Confessions available in the

Church from 1:30-2:45pm

At 3:00 pm there will be a

prayer service that will include

the chanting of the Chaplet of

Divine Mercy and Eucharistic Benediction.

Tuesday’s Bible Study - will resume on April 30th

Thursday’s Bible Study - will resume on May 2nd

Thursday Adoration is May 2nd

COFFEE HOUR is following the 10:45am

Mass today Sunday, April 28th. Please

join us for fellowship and refreshments.

MAY 4TH MASS: On Saturday,

May 4th, 2019, Mass will be at

8:00am instead of 9:00am. This

Mass has been changed to allow

for the Church to be ready for

First Communion at 10:00am.

NEW BEGINNINGS is a social support group open to

both men and women who have lost a loved one. We

will meet for lunch on Wednesday, May 8th at 11:30 am

at the Town & Country Restaurant on West Main Road in

Batavia. Please call Norma Kelly at 494-0301 by

Monday, May 6th to make a reservation.

THE DEACON’S CLOSET:

The purpose of this ministry is to

assist those who cannot afford

medically needed equipment to

assist with in home care with

items such as wheelchairs, canes,

walkers, commodes, etc. If you

need the use of items, please call

585-813-3588. There is no charge for the use of

equipment.

May 6th at 7:00pm. This is your last

chance to bring in finished items to earn

tickets for June’s drawing.

Rice Bowl: Our community helped to change lives this

Lent, and CRS Rice Bowl wants to say THANK YOU!

Please remember to return your rice bowl if you have not

done so already.

THE LADIES OF CHARITY will meet May 13th at

7:00 pm in the St. Brigid Church Hall. We will finalize

plans for the out-of-town day at the beginning of June

and make plans for our annual June dinner meeting.

BOOK CLUB will not be

meeting in the month of April. We

will be discussing our April

planned book at our May 28th get

together. Our April book choice is

"She's Come Undone" by Wally

Lamb. Our May discussion will

focus, as well, on "The Inn at

Angel Island" by Thomas Kincaid. Finally, we will

finish reading and discussing "Perfectly Yourself" by

Matthew Kelly (Sections 8, 9 and the Epilogue). Enjoy

lots of good reading, and we hope to see you on May

28th in our parish center at 6:30 pm.

HOLY NAME SOCIETY: The Holy

Name is offering parish members the

opportunity to apply for a scholarship.

The criteria includes the following:

Applicant must be an active

member of St. Brigid's

Entering or continuing college studies

In an adult education program

Catholic education K thru 12 or

Anyone entering a spiritual development program

beneficial to St. Brigid's Parish.

Applications are available at the rear of the church.

Awards will be decided by the scholarship board. May

30th is the final date for applications to be submitted.
