Dear Parents, Our teachers have been working
hard to prepare for Parent Teacher Conferences that began today. The conferences are a great opportunity for you to learn about your child(ren)’s progress in school by going over their progress report and work samples. It a chance for teachers to share their classroom observations and to gain insights from you about your child(ren)’s lives outside of school. The progress report shows your child’s strengths and areas for growth.
Keep in mind this is just a progress report not a report card. There is still time to meet those end of trimester goals! Think of this as a time to reiterate your expectations with your child(ren) and to partner with the teacher to come up with home and school ideas to how help your child improve and continue to grow. Remind your child(ren) of those things that will help them to achieve their goals: hard work, perseverance, and asking for help when needed.
Our faculty and staff at OLMCS value your role as the primary educators of your children. By working together we can ensure the success of all our students. I hope you will view this as a valuable two-way conversation that will allow you and the teachers to best support your child(ren)’s learning. Blessings,
Mrs. Simolon
Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence.
