READINGS FOR NEXT WEEKEND MAY 14, 2017

Acts 6:1-7; 1 Pt 2:4-9; Jn 14:1-12 Reflection Adults: In this Sunday’s Gospel Jesus continues to help His disciples understand that He and His Father are ONE. It is a hard concept to understand for us humans. Jesus tells His dis-ciples, “Whoever has seen Him has seen the Father.” He tells us that the Father that dwells in Him is doing His works. Wow! God loves us so much He comes down from Heaven to show us His love. Now we can, with the gift of the Holy Spirit, follow Jesus to the Father and become links in the rela-tionship chain. Jesus, help me to always remember you are the way, the truth and the life. Children: Jesus has risen and Jesus reminds us in this week’s Gospel that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. And when we follow Him we are also following the Father because they are One. Thank you God for loving us so much that you give us Jesus as our Savior!

RESPECT LIFE… —Gabriel’s Courage is a family-centered program for fami-lies who receive a life-limiting prenatal diagnosis during their pregnancy. The program offers a multidisciplinary team ap-proach to care and support throughout pregnancy, birth and post birth. Gabriel’s Courage is a program of Catholic Health Service and Good Shepherd Hospice. This program offers hope, affirms life and provides an opportunity for the family to welcome their baby, as well as assisting in saying goodbye. If you wish to learn more about this program or would like to make a referral, please call (631) 465-6363. Gabriel’s Courage is seeking financial support to continue this important program. We ask that you consider donating resources for burials which could in-clude financial support or donation of an available grave. If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Peter Ryan, Director of Catholic Cemeteries at (516) 334-7990, Ext. 109.
