Howdy, I know I have been speaking to you a lot about the Diocesan Evangelization Campaign, but it is very important for our diocese and for our parish. Adolescents have a tendency to live for “me” and for “now “, but as adults we think bigger than that: we think of our community and the future. This campaign is about our community, our diocese, and about our future as a parish community. When I spoke to you about our share of the campaign, remember we receive 1/3 back from the diocese for all we contribute, it is important to know that most of the things I talked about are critical needs, not just things we want. The roof of our church will continue to get worse if it is not repaired; the same with our east parking lot. The
parish hall is older than our church, and not being able to use the kitchen for cooking limits what we can do there. The kneelers on our pews continue to break in both the church and Capilla and we cannot get new parts. These problems have been with us for a few years, but now is our opportunity to fix them. As I have said, if everyone pledges what they are able to give through their sacrifice of at least $1 per day we can meet and go beyond our goal. Please join those who have already pledged and help us grow into a great future. God Bless you all, Father Mike.

Sé que les he hablado mucho sobre la Campaña de Evangelización Diocesana, pero es muy importante para nuestra diócesis y para nuestra parroquia. Los adolescentes tienden a vivir para " mí" y para " ahora" , pero como adultos nosotros pensamos en más que eso: pensamos en nuestra comunidad y en el futuro. Esta campaña trata sobre nuestra comunidad, nuestra diócesis y sobre nuestro futuro como comunidad parroquial. Cuando les hablé sobre nuestra parte de la campaña, recuerden que recibiremos la tercera parte de nuestra contribución a la diócesis, es importante saber que la mayoría de las cosas de las que hablé son necesidades críticas, no solo cosas que deseamos. El techo de nuestra iglesia continuará empeorando si no se repara;
lo mismo con nuestro estacionamiento del lado este. El salón parroquial es más antiguo que nuestra iglesia, y no poder usar la cocina para cocinar limita lo que podemos hacer allí. Los reclinatorios en nuestras bancas continúan rompiéndose tanto en la iglesia como en la Capilla y no podemos obtener las partes para repararlas. Estos problemas han existido durante algunos años, pero ahora es nuestra oportunidad de solucionarlos. Como ya he dicho, si todos se comprometen a ofrecer a través de su sacrificio al menos $1 por día, podemos cumplir y sobrepasar nuestra meta. La tentación en el Matrimonio es un llamado al amor heroico de Dios y su cónyuge. Juramos en nuestro día de la boda amar, “en los buenos tiempos y en los malos". El malva-do pondrá a prueba nuestro amor por Dios y por nuestro cónyuge al causar malestar y pre-sentar las tentaciones de la infidelidad y el divorcio. Nos susurra pensamientos en la ca-beza como:” Merezco ser feliz... otras me coquetean pero mi esposa siempre está enoja-da ... No necesito esto". Satanás ama los secre-tos y quiere destruir matrimonios. Satanás te odia a ti, a Jesús, a la Iglesia y a los sacra-mentos, especialmente a la reconciliación. Él causa odio, dolor, desunión y constantemente presenta los siete pecados capitales. Confiesa la situación y la tentación en la reconciliación para recibir las gracias para resistir la tenta-ción. No tengas contacto con la persona que es tu tentación. El maligno le susurrará al oído: “No vayas a la reconciliación, no has hecho nada malo, sabes lo que estás haciendo, puedes manejar esto". Cuando uno de estos pensamientos entre en tu mente, di la Oración de San Miguel Arcángel, un acto de contrición y corre a reconciliarte. El lugar de trabajo y el gimnasio son dos de los lugares más frecuentes para reuniones inapropiadas. Al principio, es inocente e infor-mal, pero el malvado puede y lo convertirá en una situación peligrosa. Establece los límites apropiados, no sueñes despierto con esa per-sona, varía tu horario y cuéntale a tu cónyuge. Recuerda, a Satanás le encantan los secretos, así que mantén todo a la vista. Comparte esto con tu cónyuge. Discutan cual-quier tentación y aseguren mutuamente su fidelidad. Comprométanse una vez más a amarse uno al otro a través de las dificultades que enfrentan. La vida es corta. Ámense sirviendo. Todos los días pregúntale a tu pareja lo que puedes hacer para ayudar.
Do you have a family member who loves to learn about our faith? God may be calling that person to serve as a Sunday Catechist. Your whole family grows in the virtue of gener-osity when one member serves. The whole family can contribute by sup-
porting the one who volunteers. Catechists give a couple of hours each Sunday morning to help the children of our parish discover the beauty and riches of our Catholic Faith. We also meet regularly to be nourished in our own faith walk and help children prepare for sacraments with day retreats. Please pray about how your family can help with the catechetical needs of our parish.

Temptation Marriage is a call to heroic love of God and spouse. We vowed on our wedding day to love, “ In good times and bad.”
The evil one will test our love for God and spouse by causing upset and presenting the temptations of infidelity and divorce. He whis-pers thoughts into our head such as, “I deserve to be happy…others flirt with me but my spouse is always angry…I don’t need this.” Satan loves secrets and wants to destroy mar-riages. Satan hates you, Jesus, the Church and the sacraments, especially reconciliation. He causes hate, hurt, disunity and constantly pre-sents the seven deadly sins. Confess the situa-tion and temptation in reconciliation to receive the graces to resist temptation. Have no con-tact with the person who is your temptation. The evil one will whisper in your ear, “Don’t go to reconciliation, you haven’t done any-thing wrong, you know what you are doing, you can handle this.” When one of these thoughts enters your mind, say the St. Michael Prayer, an act of contrition and run to reconciliation. The work place and the gym are two of the most frequent places for inappropriate meet-ings. At first, it is innocent and casual, but the evil one can and will turn it into a dangerous situation. Set appropriate boundaries, don’t daydream about the person, vary your sched-ule and tell your spouse. Remember, Satan loves secrets so keep everything in the open. Share this with your spouse. Discuss any temptations and reassure each other of your fidelity. Recommit yourselves to loving each other through the difficulties you face. Life is short. Love one another by serving. Everyday ask your spouse what you can do to help.

La semana pasada comenzamos unas series reflexionando en las acciones que los padres pueden tomar para ayudar a sus hijos a llegar al cielo. ¡No hay nada mejor que pue-da ofrecer a su hijo que el verdadero camino hacia Dios por toda la eternidad! La acción de la semana pasada fue el bautismo. La acción de hoy es la oración. Ore con su hijo desde el principio. Los niños imitan todo lo que ven y tienen men-tes absorbentes. Entonces, un niño es algo así como una esponja. Si pone agua sucia en la esponja, el agua sucia se escurrirá; si pone agua limpia, se exprimirá el agua
limpia. Los adultos a veces piensan que es divertido ver a un niño pequeño repetir palabras tontas o vulgares o canciones que han visto en la televisión o internet. Esto es lo contra-rio de lo que es mejor para el niño. En cambio, los padres pueden reservar tiempo para orar con sus hijos todos los días, y llenar pequeñas mentes, corazones y labios con oraciones a su Ángel de la Guarda, a María y a nuestro Padre Celestial. No permita que su hijo se llene de basu-ra, ¡sino con hermosas oraciones! Ofrecemos un programa completo de catecismo para los
grados de Kinder a High School los domingos de
8:30-10:00am.
Las inscripciones para familias actuales y nuevas
empiezan el 7 de mayo y terminan el 8 de junio. El cupo
es limitado. Se le da preferencia a las familias
registradas y activas en nuestra Parroquia.

Last week we began a series reflecting on actions par-
ents can take to help your children get to heaven. There
is nothing better you can offer your child than the true
path to God for all eternity! Last week’s action was
baptism.
The action today is prayer. Pray with your child from
the beginning. Children imitate everything they see, and
they have absorbent minds. So, a child is somewhat like
a sponge. If you put dirty water into the sponge, then
dirty water will be wrung out; if you put in pure water,
pure water will be wrung out.
Adults sometimes think it’s funny to see a small child
repeat silly or vulgar words or songs they’ve seen on TV
or the internet. This is the opposite of what is best for the
child. Instead, parents can set aside time to pray with
their child every day, and fill little minds, hearts and lips
with prayers to their Guardian Angel, to Mary, and to
our Heavenly Father. Don’t allow your child to be filled
with junk, but with beautiful prayers!
We offer a full program of Catechism Sessions for
grades Kinder to High School on Sunday mornings
from 8:30-10:00am.

ited. Priority given to active registered members of
our Parish.
