Grateful Stewardsof God’s Gifts . . .

“God raised this Jesus;of this we are all witnesses”

(Acts 2:32)

How to do witness to Jesus’ resurrection on Easter Sunday? At Mass, surely, and likely at a large dinner or gatheringwith family and friends. But today, life goes on. The Easterhigh, spiritual and sugar, begins to dissipate as we shiftfrom contemplation of Jesus’ passion during Holy Weekand return to everyday concerns. Still, we are changedsometimes a little, sometimes a lot, by our Lenten sacrificesof time, talent, or treasure. Maybe we’re a bit slower toanger or a bit freer with our charitable contributions or a bitmore willing to say yes to the request for our help. As thosechanges become habits today and in the days to come, weshow the world the way Jesus lives in us. Lord, let myactions, words, and thoughts serve as witnesses to yourgoodness. An excerpt from Living with Christ

Jesus has risen! So now, what do we do with these feelingsof joy and hope that Easter gives us. We can, spread theGood News to our neighbors, to those we work with andencounter. We can be the Catholic Christians that Jesuscalls us to be. Helping others, being kind, spreading hislove to everyone we meet. It doesn’t take all that we have tobe kind, to be understanding, to offer a smile, to hold adoor, to let someone go first. In this world of rush, rush, wecan slow down and be kind to one another. We can showwarmth and compassion. We never know what is happeningin another’s life; and that one minute or few minutes thatwe give, can make a difference if we just take the time.
