Preparation for Adults
Every year many adults desire to take part in
the sacramental life of the Catholic Church. If
you are at least seven years old and have never been
Baptized, or an adult who has not been Confirmed or
celebrated First Holy Communion, then the RCIA
process is for you! (RCIA: The Rite of Christian
Initiation of Adults.) We have a year-round process
here at Holy Rosary on Monday evenings at 7pm, so
you can join in anytime. Come with us on this exciting
ongoing journey of faith with those who want to
become Catholic or finish preparing for their Catholic
sacraments. Share this information with others! Please

[email protected] If you are interested in
participating in RCIA even though you have already
made sacraments we could use your help as a spiritual
companion or sponsor! You will grow in your own
knowledge and faith while supporting others!

Sacramental para Adultos Cada año, muchos adultos desean participar en
la vida sacramental de la Iglesia católica. Si
tiene al menos siete años y nunca ha sido Bautizado, o
es un adulto que no ha sido Confirmado o no ha
celebrado la Primera Comunión, ¡entonces el proceso
de RICA es para usted! (RICA: El Rito de Iniciación
Cristiana de Adultos). Tenemos un proceso durante
todo el año aquí en Santo Rosario los lunes por la
noche a las 7pm, por lo que puede unirse en cualquier
momento. Ven con nosotros en este emocionante
viaje continuo de fe con aquellos que quieren
convertirse en Católicos o terminar de prepararse para
sus sacramentos Católicos. ¡Comparta esta

Angels in the Bible—Little Rock Scripture Study The Bible is full of passages about angels who are sent to accomplish God’s will. Angels speak for God, direct the course of nations,
and protect God’s people. They worship God and deliver God’s judgment. In Angels in the Bible, Fr. George Smiga examines some of
the Bible’s most fascinating passages about angels, exploring their ministry on God’s behalf and drawing insights for our own spiritual
lives. Because angels are mediators of God’s presence and action, studying angels is studying God. Commentary, study and reflection
questions, prayers, and access to online lectures are included.

Summer Surprise of Faith Formation 2021
Join us this summer for our Summer Surprise (mini VBS)! Monday, July 12 thru Friday, July 16, 9:00am-12:00pm. Register your children now in the Religious Education Office. $5.00 registration fee per child K – 6th
grade.
If you would like to help in any capacity, we
need volunteers and snack donations!
Registrations and Classes
Online and in-person registration for In Person Faith Formation will be available starting July 1st.
$40.00 registration fee per child/youth K – 12th.
English schedule is as follow:
Wednesday – 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Kindergarten – 5th Grade Faith Formation & 1st Holy Communion 3rd – 5th Grade (Child must have completed one
(1) year of faith formation)
Wednesday – 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Middle School 6th – 8th Grade (Counts as a prerequisite for High School Confirmation Preparation) & Confirmation 9th – 12th Grade (High School Youth must have completed one (1)
year of faith formation)
As we prepare for a safe In Person Faith Formation Program, each family will be asked to provide the following supplies for each child: pencils, notebook, folder, markers, color pencils, crayons, scissors, sticks and bottles of glue. If you would like to sponsor a family or donate supplies, please contact the
office.

¡Únase a nosotros este verano para nuestra Sorpresa de Verano (mini VBS)! Lunes 12 de julio al viernes 16 de julio, de 9:00am a 12:00pm. Registre a sus hijos ahora en la Oficina de Educación Religiosa. Cuota de inscripción de $5.00 por niño desde K – 6º
grado.

Al preparamos para un programa seguro de formación en la fe en persona, se le pedirá a cada familia que proporcione los siguientes materiales para cada niño: lápices, cuaderno, carpeta, marcadores, lápices de colores, crayones, tijeras, y pegamento. Si desea patrocinar a una familia o donar
materiales, comuníquese con la oficina.

H o w to C h o o s e Yo u r C h i l d ’ s G o d pa r e n t s
If you’ve decided to baptize your child in the Catholic Church, you’ll usually be asked to choose a godfather and/or a godmother for your little cherub. Without having to embark on a recruitment drive worthy of a large corporation, here are a few tips to help you choose the ideal godfather and godmother of your baby.
Spiritual experiences required by the Church: • Must have received the three sacraments of Christian
initiation — that is, Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion.
• Must be actively practicing their Catholic faith (registered in a parish and regularly attending Mass).
• If married, must be married in the Catholic Church. • If single, must not be cohabiting (living with someone
outside of marriage). • Must be at least 16 years of age.
Required qualities:
• To be loving and kind towards their godchild.
• Show that they are attentive.
• Be capable of creating a strong bond with their godchild.
• Master the art of being an attentive godfather or godmother: wish happy birthday to their godchild, remember them at Easter and Christmas, think of them on their saint’s day…
• Be sufficiently mature and strong in their faith to take on the responsibilities listed below. Help their godchild to grow in faith. Help them to fight against sin. Offer support in their Christian life, in particular
during the celebration of sacraments (Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage).
Set an example to their godchild in everyday life, in trying to live in accordance with the Gospels.
We don’t become Christians all alone. To be Christian is to be part of the Church, it is to make up the Body of Christ all together. And it is the parents, the godfather and the godmother who are the first to welcome the newly baptized child into the Christian community, and to accompany them along their spiritual path. So choose with clear sight, honesty, and with help from the Holy Spirit, the people who will guide your child on their path to faith, hope and charity.

Si ha decidido bautizar a su hijo en la Iglesia Católica, se le pedirá que elija un padrino y/o una madrina para su pequeño querubín. Sin tener que embarcarse en una campaña de reclutamiento digna de una gran corporación, aquí hay algunos consejos para ayudarlo a elegir al padrino y la madrina ideales para su bebé.
Experiencias Espirituales Requeridas: • Debe haber recibido los tres sacramentos de iniciación
cristiana, es decir, el bautismo, la confinación, y sagrada comunión, en la Iglesia católica.
• Debe practicar activamente su fe católica (es decir, asistir regularmente a misa los domingos y días santos).
• Si está casado, debe estar casado en la Iglesia Católica. • Si es soltero, no debe convivir (vivir con alguien fuera
del matrimonio). • Tiene por lo menos 16 años de edad.
Cualidades Requeridas:
• Ser amoroso y amable con su ahijado(a).
• Demostrar que está atento.
• Ser capaz de crear un fuerte vinculo con su ahijado(a)
• Dominar el arte de ser un padrino o madrina atento(a): desearle feliz cumpleaños a su ahijado(a), recordarle en Pascua y Navidad, pensar en el/ella en el día de su santo…
• Ser lo suficientemente maduro y fuerte en su fe para asumir las responsabilidades enumeradas. Ayude a su ahijado(a) a crecer en la fe. Ayudelo(a) a luchar contra el pecado. Ofrezca apoyo en su vida cristiana, en particular
durante la celebración de los sacramentos (comunión, confirmación y matrimonio).
Dé un ejemplo a su ahijado en la vida cotidiana, al tratar de vivir de acuerdo a los Evangelios
No nos convertimos en cristianos solos. Ser cristiano es ser parte de la Iglesia, es formar el Cuerpo de Cristo todos juntos. Y son los padres, el padrino y la madrina quienes son los primeros en dar la bienvenida al niño recién bautizado a la comunidad cristiana y acompañarlos en su camino espiritual. Por lo tanto, elija con visión clara, honestidad y con la ayuda del Espíritu Santo, las personas que guiarán a su hijo en su camino hacia la fe, la esperanza y la caridad.
