Nguyen Hong Ha, F1

ACCA, CPA

Nguyen Hong Ha officially became a member of the Association of CharteredCertified Accountants in 2007 and Vietnam Association of Certified Public Accountant(CPA Vietnam) in 2009.

Ha has more than 6 years working experience in Grant Thornton Viet Nam and Ernst& Young with his current position of audit manager. Mr Ha also has extensiveexperience in auditing and consulting services with international accounting firmswith his working experience in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Hong Ha is also one of Grant Thornton’s internal trainers in charge of auditmethodology and techniques. Given his experience in international audit firm, hiseffective exam techniques and experience in passing ACCA exams, the lecturer willenable students solve ACCA audit & accounting questions effectively with good timemanagement.

Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, F2Master of Finance and Acounting, Westminster UniversityCFA level III candidate

Ms. Tuyet Mai obtained a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Financefrom Westminster university in 2008. She was one of the best young lecturers withstrong potential of the Faculty of Finance and Banking belong to Hanoi Foreign Tradeuniversity. In Dec2009 and June2011, she passed level I & II, CFA Program at herfirst attempt. Mai has been a visiting lecturer for many local and international trainingprograms giving lectures in management accounting and financial management. Ms.Tuyet Mai is known for a lecturer who is deficated, enthusiastic with creative trainingmethods, and is very detail and clear in her teaching methods. Do Hong Van, F3 (lecturer) & F7 (Refresher)ACCA, Bachelor of Commerce (Vietnam Commerce University)

Ms. Do Hong Van became an ACCA member since 2007. She was veryexperienced in teaching and processed extensive practical experiences infinancial accounting. Ms Van has been taking important role as Chiefaccountant or Finance manager at in number of big international organizationsuch as Ford Vietnam (1995-1998), Shell Vietnam (1999-2000).

At the moment she is working for Nghe An Tate and Lyle Group as a ChiefAccountant. Ms.Hong Van was a favorite lecturer of CAT program at FTMSHanoi since 2007.

Having both deep knowledge and extensive practical experiences in financialaccounting, Ms Van will refresh students with basic knowledge of financialaccounting, help you solve questions of paper F7 and provide you with effective examtechniques that are fruitful for your F7 exam.

Trần Văn Nam – F4LL.M, MBA, Ph.D

Associate Professor Tran Van Nam has been teaching Business Law, InternationalTrade Law at the National Economics University (NEU) from 1989 to date.

He has graduated from Hanoi University of Law; earned his MBA from Boise StateUniversity (USA), obtained a Master of Law, University of Turin (Italy) and aDoctorate. of Economics, National University of Economics in Hanoi.

Nam has many years of teaching programs in business law, associated with foreignuniversities such as the Master's Program in International Accounting (Minta)between Hanoi NEU and Swinberne University of Technology (Australia); the MBAProgram of Washington State University (WSU) conducted in Hanoi and Ho ChiMinh City; the MBA Program at the French -Vietnamese Training Centre ofManagement (CFVG); the E-MBA Program, organized by the the Hanoi School ofBusiness at VNU and the Northwestern University Business School (UNW) inSwitzerland.

Nam had worked at Idaho Small Business Development Center, USA. He had alsoserved a year at the Asian Law Centre, University of Washington in Seattle as aFulbright lecturer of the UW’s Masters of Program in Asian Law studies.Tran Van Nam is currently the Head, Department of Business Law, Faculty of Law,National Economics University and an arbitrator at the Vietnam InternationalArbitration Center (VIAC) since 2000. Since 2003, Mr. Nam has been a member ofthe Pacific Northwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business (PNALSB).

Chan Tze Kang, F5(FCCA)

Chan has been dedicated to the lectures on Cost and Management accounting as well asStrategic Financial Management for various types of professional accountancy programsincluding ACCA, CAT, CIMA for not less than 15 years.

Being internationally, exposed, Chan has taught in countries like, Malaysia, Singapore,Indonesia, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, Uganda.

Apart from lecturing for the professional programs, Chan is also involved in conductingseminars for the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) on a regular basis.

Bùi Thu Trang – F5 & F9 (Refresher & Question based Tutor)ACCA, MBA – CFVG

Trang is a member of the Association of Charter Certified Accountant (ACCA) andhold an MBA of the Centre Franco –Vietnamien de Formation à la Gestion (CFVG).Bui Thu Trang was an excellent ACCA student with being Prize winner of 6 ACCApapers 2.4, F7, F9, P2, P3, P4, & P5 and one of 3 top ACCA Affiliates in 2008. Shehas 10 years extensive working experience in the areas of management accounting,and management consulting with different international organizations. She has beenlecturing CAT & ACCA programs since early 2009 and a lot of lecturing experiencein different programs including some academic programs locally and internationaly.Trang is currently responsible for financial controlling of an internationalorganisation.

Nguyen Thi Thuy, F6ACCA

Ms Nguyen Thi Thuy is an ACCA member. Ms Thuy is now the Chief Accountant at IBMVietnam Company.

Before joining IBM, Ms Thuy has intensive experience in tax consultation, auditing andaccounting services in different positions of different companies such as Grant ThorntonVietnam, IBM Vietnam... 16 years’ practice in accounting, finance and business consultancyservices equips Ms Thuy with good understanding of Vietnam Accounting Standards,International Accounting Standards and Vietnam tax. With her hands-on experience ofVietnam tax laws and regulations from the business point of view and the consultant’s pointof view, Ms Thuy will provide students will good knowledge, experience and insights intoVietnam tax laws and regulations. Thus, the students will be confident in F6 exams.

Lim Teck Chuan – F7

ACCA, CPA, Bsc. Applied Accounting, Oxfort Brookes University, UK

Lim Teck Chuan (Ivan) achieved the ACCA qualification in 2004 and obtained aBachelor degree from Oxford Brookes university from the UK. He began his career inauditing with a reputable member of an international firm where he gained valuableprofessional and commercial experiences. In addition to the auditing experiences invarious industries and services, Ivan also got lots of experiences in financialaccounting with several largecorporations and public listed companies in Singapore. He possessed the patience anddetermination to nurture students in developing their interest in financial accounting.Ivan always explains difficult topics in a simple way and shares good stratergies anduseful tips to work with excersize and exam questions.

Tran Viet Phuong – F7 & P1 (Question based tutor)ACCA, PhD (Nottingham), MA (Leeds)

Dr. Tran Viet Phuong obtained his Doctorate (Business and Management) at theUniversity of Nottingham, UK, following a full scholarship from the NottinghamUniversity Business School (2004-2007). His research topic is corporate governance,executive compensation and financial performance. Advanced teaching courses at theUniversity and experience from conducting tutorial classes for undergraduate andpost-graduate students has shaped his teaching technique.

Dr. Tran, a member of the ACCA, is currently working for KPMG as an AuditManager and involve in auditing financial services clients, management consulting,and training accountants and audit assistants on financial reporting issues, especiallywith respect to International Financial Reporting Standards.

Balbeer Singh Mangat, Paper F8ACA, CPA, PA, FCCA

Mr B.S Mangat, Chairman of FTMS Group of Companies is a Chartered Accountantfrom England and Wales. Also a CPA, he has more than 30 years of experience inaudit and tax and has worked for well known international companies before startingFTMS in 1986. The Group’s business includes training and education, humanresource management, corporate services, publishing and eBusiness. FTMS Group hasoperations in Asia, Africa and Europe. Balbeer is also a CPA in Singapore and acertified public accountant specializing in Business Planning, Mergers andAcquisitions and Joint Ventures. Eliott Betts – F9 & P5ACCA

Eliott’s youthful looks belie over 16 years of experience working in internationalfinancial markets in major financial centres around the world. He then decided on acareer change and is now an ACCA member, winning a prize for paper 3.4. He is nowa full-time lecturer, specialising in finance and management accounting papers.

Hua Chia Yee – P1 & P4FCCA, CFA

Hua is a CFA Charterholder and a Fellow Member of the Chartered Association ofCertified Accountants (FCCA). He is presently the Managing Director of PhoenixCapital Corporation, a private equity firm specialising in investment banking and assetmanagement based in Vietnam. Prior to joining Phoenix, he was the General Manager,Corporate Planning of KBB Resources Berhad, a vermicelli manufacturer listed on theMain Board of Bursa Malaysia for 5 years.
