As India makes great strides to improve the quality of life for its citizens, we have to reinvent our sanitation infrastructure and allied services to ensure health and hygiene for all. The process was set in motion by Government of India through Swachh Bharat Mission in 2014. Thanks to the mission, the urban India is now close to being ODF (open defecation free) while the rural India has truly awakened to the need of household toilets and is actively demanding the same.

Under project ASMITA, Arvind is trying to facilitate demand generation and toilet installation across rural India by building a sanitation ecosystem of partner organizations. This will be done by identifying and empanelling good quality toilet models from across India, training and certifying civil contractors to install empanelled models at reasonable rates, working with MFIs/Banks/NBFCs/NGOs on demand generation and bridge nancing and providing project management suppor t to par tners through ASMITA app.
