Our Spaces

From a 25person retreat to a 2,500 fullfacility wedding reception or corporate gathering, the History Center can accommodate events ofevery size and style with a wide array of room options to fit your needs.

FULL FACILITY

Not sure which room to rent? Then why not the whole place! Full facility rentals at the History Center provide you and your guests withaccess to all six floors of the museum, including every exhibition gallery and event space, all exclusively for your use. If you crave uniquelocations, creative food and beverage displays, and activities throughout the museum, then a full facility rental is your best choice.

This option is available for $8,500 after 5 p.m. for five hours or less.

Great Hall

As the museum’s premier location, the first floor Great Hall delights with high ceilings, brick walls, and steel supports in a truly memorablesetting. Framed by a dramatic staircase and an assortment of vintage vehicles, including a Pittsburgh trolley, Conestoga wagon, an antiquestainless steel car, and the iconic Heinz Hitch, the Great Hall is ideal for cocktail receptions of up to 400 guests, banquetstyle dinners for upto 200 guests, evening events, dancing, and much more.

Available for rental events after 5:00 p.m., this historic location rents for $3,300 for five hours or less.



MUELLER CENTER

A beautifully appointed ballroom located on the museum’s fifth floor, the Mueller Center features stunning views of the Allegheny River andthe downtown Pittsburgh skyline along with one of the city’s finest outdoor decks. As the History Center’s most versatile space, the MuellerCenter can accommodate up to 1,000 guests for cocktail receptions, seat up to 400 guests for dinner parties, or be transformed for moreintimate gatherings.

The Mueller Center is available for both daytime and evening events and rents for $3,500 for five hours or less. An additional $1,500 chargeis added to the room rental fees for wedding ceremony due to the quick room turnover. Dance floor installation and removal is $1,000.

CAMPBELL GALLERY

A warm, inviting location, the 4 floor Campbell Gallery’s red brick walls, wooden beams, and dramatic lighting make for the perfect locationfor small dinner parties or cocktail receptions. Surrounded by History Center exhibition galleries, the Campbell Gallery accommodates 100or more for a cocktail party or up to 60 guests for a sitdown dinner.

Available for rental events after 5:00 p.m., the Campbell Gallery rents for $1,600 for four hours or less or $900 when added to a Great Hall

U.S. STEEL FOUNDATION BOARDROOM

One of the museum’s most elegant spaces, the 7 floor U.S. Steel Foundation Boardroom showcases brick walls, hardwood floors, and astunning backdrop of the Pittsburgh skyline. Designed for meetings, luncheons, and intimate dinner parties, up to 24 guests can be seatedaround Andrew Carnegie’s 100 year old boardroom table with inspiring views of downtown surrounding them.

The Boardroom rents for $1,000 before 5 p.m. and $1,200 after 5 p.m., for five hours or less.

LIBRARY & ARCHIVES READING ROOM

A unique space steeped in history, the sixth floor Library & Archives reading room provides an elegant setting for wedding ceremonies andcorporate events. With beautiful wooden beams and exposed bricks housed in a working library, the Library & Archives provides a historicflair to events hosting up to 200 guests.

This space rents for $2,250. The space rents for wedding ceremonies for $1,500.

WEISBROD KITCHEN CLASSROOM

The Weisbrod Kitchen Classroom features a highend kitchen, complete with updated appliances, utensils, and an audiovisual system, topresent stateoftheart cooking classes and demonstrations. A fun, imaginative space ideal for wedding and baby showers, kids’ birthdayparties, weekend brunches, and teambuilding events, the 3 floor Weisbrod Kitchen Classroom comfortably seats up to 60 guests.

Rental is $1,000 but may vary based on equipment usage.

7TH FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM

Designed for groups up to 24 people, the 7th floor Conference Room is an ideal setting for seminars, meetings, and breakout sessions orcombined with other spaces throughout the museum. The Conference Room includes a beautiful view of downtown Pittsburgh along with apulldown screen and complimentary wifi.

Rentals are $800 for five hours or $500 when combined with a U.S. Steel Foundation Boardroom rental.

LIBRARY & ARCHIVES CONFERENCE ROOM

A smaller, quiet room surrounded by brick walls, a large window bay, and historic Pittsburgh photographs, the 6th floor Library & ArchivesConference Room accommodates up to 20 guests and can serve as a meeting space, breakout session room, or a bridal party dressingroom.

This space rents for $600 for a five hour rental.



Discovery Multipurpose Room

Home to numerous educational events, the 3rd floor Discovery Multipurpose Room is a flexible, open space for meetings, cocktailreceptions, holiday parties, birthdays, and other events between 60200 guests.

This space rents for $1,500 for five hours.For all events, a large public parking lot is conveniently located across the street from the History Center. Valet parking recommendationsare also available upon request.
