After our January service we were blessed with a powerful healing meditation led by
Rashida. (See Teahouse for the Soul, this page.)
We decided to hold this healing meditation again when more people can attend, on Sunday February 6 at Ishwara's.

Our January meeting was wonderfully successful, with 23 people in
attendance to hear Zamiat’s stories and to sing with Wahiduddin. Not only
was the event a delight for the spirit; it was a wonderful opportunity to get to
know our brother and sister Sufi beloveds in the IAM group as well. Thank
you to all who participated!
This month we are once again modifying our plans for the Teahouse.
Rashida has offered to repeat the meditation she led at the Healing Circle in
January honoring those who were wounded and killed on January 8. The
following explains her vision for the original ceremony and the energy that
this ceremony created.
“After the Tragedy in Tucson, I awoke dreaming a mediation. I asked for a way to help without becom-ing ineffective by being consumed by the agony and suffering. I was given a vision of calling in all the Guardian Angels, along with the Guides, Masters, Saints, Prophets and Light Beings who could surround those who so desperately needed help. I saw successive circles of angels, wing to wing, and light beings radiat-ing out from “ground zero”. When doing this medita-tion, it felt like it “made a difference”.
Rafia asked me to share this meditation following the January Universal Worship and Sufi Healing Ceremony. I was guided to include in the ceremony my beloved Grandmother Alchemical Bowl who has a very universal healing, balancing, and harmonizing vibration. After Rafia’s sacred attunement, I asked permission to add the Grandmother bowl to the altar. Grandmother sang out each time we called in the Guardian Angels and Light Beings for each circle of those in need. As these light beings formed circles, shoulder to shoulder, wing to wing, they seemed to appear as reflections in Grandmother Bowl.
If you feel drawn to this ceremony, please come and stand shoulder to shoulder, wing to wing, with all these wonderful beings and add your light to the healing.”
We will begin with this ceremony, then return to Salat, focusing on the male
Masters, Saints, and Prophets that we did not get to in November. Connect-
ing with these beings fits wonderfully into the energy of Rashida’s ceremony
that we will have experienced. In February we will begin with the female
Masters, Saints, and Prophets, covering about two or three each month.
Meeting President Obama

the country.)
My town, Tucson, is experiencing the aftermath of vio-
lence. A healing has blossomed.
I was asked to do trauma relief acupuncture on the Intensive Care Unit where our Congresswoman and oth-ers were being cared for. A sacred tone filled our heal-ing room. President Obama walked past me to the next "task" ahead of him, he turned back and held out his hand to me. Our hearts beat as one. I held the First
Lady's outstretched hand in both of mine, and thanked her for bringing their healing to our community. It is
important, I said.
I am so impressed by their beautiful hearts, their radi-
ant love and healing presence.
