The area around Exxon Mobil’s new campus in north Houston is getting another big development. PinPoint Commercial said on April 14 that it will build out a mixed-use complex on 75 acres of land that could be valued upward of $250 million.
The development, dubbed Woodland Creek*, will be located at 1823 Sawdust Road and will feature “amenities for residents and tenants that provide a unique combination of upscale, urban conveniences and spacious recreation areas,” PinPoint said in a press release.
PinPoint said the complex will include multi-family apartment and townhome complexes as well as single-family residences. The commercial side will include mid-rise offices and retail.
The developer said it plans to start construction on some of the residential projects by the third quarter of 2014.
“Our goal is to create a best-in-class mixed-used development,” CEO and president John Thompson said in the release. “We are thrilled to begin breaking ground on
a beautiful piece of land and look forward to creating an environment that its residents and tenants can be proud of.”
Woodland Creek will be just one of several residential developments in The Woodlands area where Exxon Mobil’s campus is located.
On April 11, Austin-based Oden Hughes said it broke ground on a 384-unit apartment complex just four miles from the campus.
