our planet habitable

Page 3: OUR WORLD… OUR FUTURE

What has caused global warming

Methane gas from landfill sites

Burning fossil fuels, coal, gas and oil

Deforestation

Greenhouse gases

Fuel emmissions from cars/ lorries/motorbikes

What are the effects of global warming

Extreme weather conditions

Extreme temperatures

Rising sea levels

Rising insurance costs

Pipes/ sewers/ water mains affected by severe weather changes

Cost of food will continue rising

People in the poorer countries will die of starvationFuel/ gas/ electricity prices will rise

warming
