What is OST?

Out-of-School Time (OST) is a term used for activities taking place outside of

classroom time that reinforce information and expand learning opportunities for

students. This includes before- & after-school and summertime experiences.

This list of camps, programs, and resources makes it even easier on parents and

guardians to find the perfect summer & after-school experiences for their kids.

More than ever before, programs are willing to work with families of all income

levels to make these experiences affordable. Apply today!

Description: Fleisher’s Children and Youth Program offers different artistic

Girls Rock Philly Summer Camp

Description: Girls Rock Philly’s Summer Camp, is a week-long program featuring

instrument instruction, workshops, visiting artists, band practice, a

showcase and a day in the studio recording their original songs. At

the end of the week, bands perform their original song at a

showcase and then spend the next day recording their song in a

professional studio. All instruments provided; no musical experience

necessary.

NLArts Summer Camp

Description: The three-week summer NLArts program consists of three workshops

each in the morning and afternoon every weekday. In the first week,

kids put together a dance or theatrical performance, in the second

week they concentrate on visual art, and in the third week they take

trips to art galleries and studios around the city.

Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA) Summer Art Camp—

Description: Give your child a fun and creative summer. Students will be exposed

to a wide range of art and artists while creating masterpieces of

their own. Students will sculpt, build, paint, draw, and collage their

way through the summer during our daily art projects. They will go on

exciting weekly field trips to local gems like Longwood Gardens,

Smith Memorial Playground, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Description: SING Philadelphia is a week-long summer choir camp for boys and

girls ages 7-12. The camp provides an exceptional musical

experience for children and youth who love to sing: learn quality

repertoire with special attention to breathing techniques, vowel

formation and choral tone, sight singing and intonation, and music

theory.

Description: PIC's urban campus provides easy access to all that the Greater Phil-
