The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, Northeastern Workforce Development Board and the NCWorks Career Center cordially invite you to participate in OBX Success, a Job & Career Fair 10 a.m. 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Thomas A. Baum Center, Kill Devil Hills.
Enclosed please find the 2017 vendor regulations and application form. Please let this serve as your invitation to exhibit and accept applications for employment at our Saturday Job Fair. Job Fair hours on Saturday will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In order to show great respect to all those completing applications, please plan to stay for the entire event!
We recognize the importance of filling the right positions with qualified people. Well be advertising the event locally, through the NCESC office, high schools, colleges, and media. Well also be marketing to several nearby colleges and universities, to increase the pool of applicants for our hospitality and customer service focused jobs. Max Radio of the Carolinas and East Carolina Radio have both committed to helping us spread the word about this years event through extensive on-air promotions.
Vendor tables start at just $75 each per Chamber member, $150 non-members. New this year, we have limited larger spaces for a higher fee. Your vendor space includes a 8 ft. table and two chairs (no covering). You should bring job application forms, business cards, table cloth, banner or any signage for your booth.
We hope that you will participate on April 1, 2017! Please review the attached application and let me know if there are any questions. Also, consider helping us spread the word about this years event by adding a line to your current job advertisements, newsletters, website, social media, etc. to stop by to visit with you at the OBX Success Job Fair 2017, 10 am 2 pm, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Thomas A. Baum Center, Kill Devil Hills.

Rules and Guidelines
For the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce OBX Success Job Fair 2017
1. Space is limited in the Job Fair and applications will be processed on a first-applied/first-served basis. Call the Chamber office at (252) 441-8144, ext. 229, e-mail your request to [email protected]
2. The prices are quoted on the Exhibitors Contract. Full payment or authorization to bill your corporate office (purchase order #) is due with application.
3. The Vendor space rental fee includes one table and 2 chairs. It is the vendors responsibility to bring signage, banners, employment application forms, business cards, and any other items needed for the Job Fair. Wifi is available on-site.
4. Exhibitors can set up booths between 8:00 & 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Thomas A. Baum Center, Kill Devil Hills. All booths must be ready when the Job Fair opens at 10:00 a.m. and will remain open until fair ends at 2:00 p.m. (Please understand how important this is to the success of the show! People arrive late or taking the time to complete applications deserve the courtesy of you waiting to accept them).
5. OBX Success Job Fair hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016. The Job Fair will be free and open to the general public. Please note that goal of this fair is to offer job seekers a chance to meet face-to-face with business owners and managers to talk about open positions and to fill them. This is not only for part-time and seasonal positions but for year round, full-time employment.
6. Vendors will be required to park at the Chamber office or other County buildings next door to the Baum Center. This assures we have parking spaces for job seekers. Please drop your items off at the center and then promptly relocate your vehicle to one of these nearby lots.
Your partnership in helping us to spread the word is also requested.
