1Cor 5:4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we groan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed  but to be clothed, so that what is mortal will be swallowed up by life. Our salvation is to take us to something not from something. The physical is a burden until the soul submits to the Spirit and mortality is swallowed by life. We are not to desire putting off this life (dying) but to desire putting on a better life, zoe life. We are transformed from the world to the kingdom. Until Christ is revealed to you the Bible is just another book with ink on paper. It must come alive by the Spirit to reveal the real truth. Jn 1:17 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. 18 No one  has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained  Him.   Grace and truth came to earth for the first time through Jesus. No one had seen God before Jesus  came except Jesus. Jesus gave visibility to what was invisible.   Jn 14:1-13 1 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 “In My Father’s house are many  dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3 “If I go and  prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be  also. 4 “And you know the way where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where  You are going, how do we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life;  no one comes to the Father but through Me. 7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father  also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” 8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father,  and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to  

know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?  10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you, I do  not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. 11 “Believe Me that I am in  the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. 12 “Truly, truly, I  say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he  will do; because I go to the Father. 13 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father  may be glorified in the Son.   Christ is the dwelling place. He had to go to prepare a place for Him to receive you to Himself, that we can be where He is. Heb 10:19-21 19 Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a  new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21 and since we have a  great priest over the house of God, This passage in Hebrews gives us insight into what Jesus meant in John 14:6 when He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” The temple had three areas, the outer court the inner court and the Holy of Holies.

Some of the correlations between Jesus being the way, the truth and the life, and the temple are: the three separate areas or designations, each one conceals the one behind it, the veil of the temple and Jesus’ body were torn at His crucifiction Col 1:15 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.   If Jesus was the first born in the image of God, what was Adam? We must understand the Bible is not  a chronological history book. Genesis 1:27 is a statement of the completed plan. This plan wasn’t  completed until Jesus, He was the first person to be completed and in the image of God, thus the  firstborn. We are completed and in the image of God through Jesus not Adam.    Communion is the representation of our journey from soul life to spirit life, to raise the living to life (zoe). You must see Jesus in the Spirit, the resurrected Jesus, to see the Father. The son in verse 13 of John 14 is Jesus and also believers, it is the sons who are asking. Don’t wait until you die to be with Jesus, be with Him now.
