TULSA, OklahomaAt about 7:00 last night, in the eastern side of
Tulsa, Oklahoma, a massive fight or rumble as it is known had taken
place. The (rumble) involved two gangs, said a bypasser who had
witnessed the fight. The two groups that fought were, the socials
(socs as it is known), and the greasers. The fight had lasted for a
little more than 30 minutes and involved several severe injuries,
for example one of the greasers, that goes by the name of TwoBit
Mathews, had a broken nose, another one of the greasers, known as
Steve Randle, had three broken ribs. After the fight, a police
officer had spotted a Ford Thunderbird speeding down tenth street,
and he had pulled the car over. The driver of the car, Dallas
Winston, had told the officer, The kid, he fell over his motor
cycle and Im taking him to the hospital. The passenger in the
vehicle was Ponyboy Curtis, he had sustained severe head injuries
from the fight. The officer had escorted them to the hospital where
the boy was taken into emergency. At the hospital, one of the gangs
members had died, his name was Johnny Cade. He was the man that had
saved the eight kids from a burning church fire in Windrixville
only 3 days ago. According to the hospital staff, Winston
had

Cades room and had took off.. Later that evening a grocery store
had reported a robbery and Winston was the accused. After about 10
minutes of chase, the police had found him standing under a street
light at an empty lot and was threatening police with a handgun.
After being shot three times in the chest, he
waspronounceddeadatthescene.

The rumble was started because of a grudge match from what had
happened last week. When Cade and Curtis had ran into a local park
and, according to what was said, they had killed Bob sheldon in an
act of self defence..
In the fight, both sides took a lot damage, There were supposed
to be no weapons but one of tims guys used pipe too hit one of the
socs. Said Ponyboy Curtis in an interview. This caused panic
amongst the socs and they had fled. The greasers were extremely
pleased with the outcome even though they had suffered
manycasualties
Ponyboy was asked what happened when he went to visit Johnny, he
had said, When we walked in, he was white, like, REALLY white, you
could tell something was wrong. Cade had later died from a broken
lower back, he had become paralyzed after a piece of the church
roof had fell on him and he had broke his lower back. He also died
from severe burnstomultiplepartsofhisbody.After Cade had passed
away, Winston had took off and had robbed a local grocery store. He
had fled the scene with police in pursuit and ran to the lot where
the rumble had taken place. When police had arrived the greasers
were already there going to get Winston. Winston had pulled out a
handgun and took aim towards the police officers. The officers
opened fire and he was pronounced dead. During the rumble, Ponyboy
Curtis had gotten kicked in the head, he had suffered a concussion
at the scene. Darrel and Soda Curtis stated, Hes alright, its just
a minor concussion and we are expecting him to have
aquickrecovery.
