⮚ The high school GPA is based upon grades earned in all
approved college preparatory courses taken in the 10th, 11th and 12th grade
⮚ CSU will award honors points in the GPA calculation for
up to 8 semester courses taken in 11th and 12th grade. No honors points are awarded for grades of D and F.

CSU total = 550 M + 600 EBRW= 1150

Unofficial transcripts
• Don’t forget to add in-progress and planned coursework.
Social Security number
• Leave this section blank if you do not have one
Know your citizenship and CA residency status
• Citizenship and residency are not the same. Residency is
used to determine tuition.
Annual income
• Your parents’ if you are a dependent; your income if you
are independent
Method of payment
• Credit Card or PayPal Account
CAL STATE APPLY TIPS
The application fee is now $70/campus. The application fee
waiver criteria has also changed.
CSU does not take the College Board or ACT Fee Waivers
paper.
Be prepared with documents listed on Cal State Apply Postcard
so that application process will go smoother.
If a student qualifies for an application fee waiver, they can apply
it to up to 4 campuses only. Fee Waivers are in the order a
student selects campuses.
After you have submitted an application, a student should
receive a confirmation email immediately.

• Remember that when you are admitted it is PROVISIONAL – YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE YOUR LAST SEMESTER OF HIGH SCHOOL AND STILL MEET THE ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS!
• Do NOT assume the admissions process is the same for all CSU campuses – Pay attention to communication that is sent to you via email and mail.
