Eligibility and Enrolment

The selection is only open to registered electrical workers in Hong Kong (irrespective of the grade of work registered). Objectives

To raise safety awareness and enhance professionalism continuously among members of the electrical trade and to commend registered electrical workers with outstanding performance in these two areas.

Format and AssessmentThe selection will be conducted in two stages.A written test consisting of two sections will be held in the first stage. The first section is on electrical work safety and the second section is on technical knowledge. Participants have to answer all the multiple choice questions in the two sections. The six best performing participants will enter the second stage.

The second stage will be in two parts. The first part is a trade test. Participants will have to carry out inspection and testing to an electrical installation to find out its defects. The adjudication panel will assess the working procedures of the participants in aspects of safety awareness and professional knowledge. The second part is an interview. The adjudication panel will ask the participants questions on their daily work. Winners will be selected based on the participants’ professional knowledge and safety awareness.
