    Never loose hope and keep working, anyone who works hard will definitely make it and its only a matter

    of time. Whats important is hard work, sincerity and faith in oneself.

    Following are my suggestions regarding job hunting, hope its helpful to all u guys in

    your job search.

    1. Firstly I think the most important thing is how you go about searching for a job. Well the common

    place where openings are found is in papers, groups like chetana, employment news, campus interviews etc, butthe most important source is employee reference. Most of the vacancies are filled through employee reference as

    its easy and less time consuming for the companies, so its important to have a good network.

    Its not enough if you send your resume and sit back expecting a reply, its important to

    follow up with the concerned person and get the feedback. It shows your interest in the job, also even if you

    are eligible you might not receive call letter for writing the test, so its important to follow up.

    . !econdly its important to have a good resume, it should be true to the ma"imum e"tent and should project yourstrengths mainly, resume gives the first impression about yourself to the potential employer, so one has to be

    careful in designing a resume, thanks to the numerous mails received by the group.

    #. $%&I&'() preparation is the ne"t thing that*s important. I basically prepared from the following, Its very useful to

    have a look at old papers which helps in planning your approach, I made a mistake early on by not bothering to

    work out old papers. I think once when you have finished the basic preparation, its better to prepare in a

    company specific manner, so that one can know where he*s lacking and concentrate on those specific areas.

    +. the ne"t thing is ( . here I think already lot of mails concerning this has been sent. I have a collection of

    them . $nyone who wants it can ask for the same.

    In gd I think lot of things matter. #ood and fluent +nglish is a must, how well one assembles and

    presents his thoughts, knowledge of the subject5its useful to keep in touch with current affairs and

    developments in the I( industry6, maintaining eye contact with the panel,

    7ot being dominant and giving others a chance to speak and how well one is able to lead a team. I think

    these are the traits that cos look for. 4ne very important thing is not trying to prove the other person wrong,

    your views may be different but u should only put forth your thoughts and not find fault in others views

    because that will portray you as a rigid and inflexible person.

    -. In hr interview what I think really matters is convincing the hr person that u are the right person for the job and u

    would fit in and be able to contribute to the company. I think its basically about selling oneself. ne has to be very

    careful in responding to hr /uestions, even though people are normally friendly, one should remember that they

    are the boss and u are looking forward to working for them. 0hoose your words carefully.

    In my case I did my *2" after .2om and had one year gap, it was really tough convincing hr

    as to why I took up mca after b.com. so u need to think of possible 8uestions and prepare answers

    beforehand, that will make it easier to handle hr interviews.
