Scope of Work and Specifications of ESR

Scope of Work:- It is Proposed to Construct RCC ESR at Choti Sadri under IHSDP Scheme.. The Live

Storage capacity of the tank is 300 Kl at 20 mtr staging complete with providing & fixing necessary CI / DI Inlet, Outlet, overflow & washout pipes with puddle collars, Duck Foot bends, valves etc. complete job.

Carrying out necessary topographical survey for the ESR within the limit of the contract

in consultation with Engineer In Charge. Conducting required soil / strata investigations for the foundation of ESR.

The Contractor will be solely responsible for preparing and submitting required designs / drawings after carrying out appropriate field surveys, data collection, designs etc. for approval of Engineer in Charge. Preparation and submission of all detailed working drawings and Designs approved by MBM Engineering College Jodhpur / MNIT Jaipur .

Construction of RCC ESR:- The work consists of construction of RCC ESR:

The contractor shall be fully responsible for the soundness of the construction, structural safety & water tightness of the structure based on the specifications, sound engineering practices, and latest I.S. provisions. The reservoir is to be constructed of minimum 300 KL live storage capacity over 20 mtr staging with providing & fixing necessary CI / DI Inlet, Outlet, overflow & washout pipes with puddle collars, Duck Foot bends, valves etc. complete job. detailed as below. The scope of work includes Construction of reservoir as per the provisions given

in the “Specifications for civil works”. (i) Supply and installation of puddle collars and duck foot bends for installation of Inlet,

outlet, washout and overflow pipes up to 200 mm dia.

(ii) Supply and installation of double flanged CI / DI pipes for inlet, outlet, washout (scour) and overflow with specials up to 200 mm dia.

(iii) Providing & installation of Soft Seated Sluice valves at least two nos. on out let, one soft seated valve on inlet & washout pipe for reservoir. The sizes of the valves shall be equal to that of the main on which they are to be installed.

(iv) Interconnection of the overflow pipe to the distribution or the outgoing feeders as per the approval of Engineer-in-Charge using CI / DI / MS double flanged pipes and required specials.

(v) Providing scour / washout pipes up to suitable length to drain the water away from the structure in an environmental friendly manner, using a sluice valve equal to the size of washout pipe as listed above, CI double flanged pipes and required specials.

(vi) To provide Masonry Valve chambers for all valves installed on the inlet, outlet, scour & overflow pipes.

(vii) Providing water level indicator as per specifications given in the chapter of “specifications for civil works” for reservoir.

(viii) Excavation for all structures including working spaces, trench excavation for pipes & other ancillary works in all sorts of soils, refilling & disposal of surplus earth at suitable site & dressing as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

(ix) Providing plinth protection works as per specifications and approved drawings for ESR. xviii Providing lightning arrester on the top of ESR etc as required (x) Providing access to the top and inside the reservoir as per the specifications given in the

chapter of “specifications for civil works”. (xi) Providing ventilation for the reservoir as per the specifications given in the chapter of

“specifications for civil works”. (xii) Providing manhole / headroom for access inside the reservoir. (xiii) Providing 25 mm diameter GI pipe in two rows in 50 x 50 x 6 mm angle iron railing of

reservoir, on the sides of the staircase and balcony, and the other suitable points for the requirement of safety of maintenance and execution staff.

(xiv) Testing of tank for water tightness and structural stability by filling it with water and in accordance to the procedure laid down in tender document/ IS code.

(xv) Colour washing using cement paint of approved quality as per specifications. (xvi) Painting the metallic surface & putting slogan on tank as per specifications. (xvii) Final clearance of site before handing over the work, including leveling of earth and

disposal of surplus earth as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. Submission of lay-out plans with site contour plan and site grading levels and plinth

protection works for approval of EIC. Submission of structural designs and working drawings for approval of Engineer-in-

Charge. The structural design and reinforcement drawings shall be prepared assuming SBC of soil or the base rock as 20 T/Sqm, if the SBC on testing is found to be 20 T/Sqm or more at foundation depth ( which should not be less than 2.0 m ). If the SBC testing is found to be less than 20 T/Sqm at foundation depth the structure shall be designed on the basis of actual SBC found on testing for which no extra payment will be made to contractor. SBC tests shall be got done through an approved agency wherever the strata on which foundation is to be laid is not rocky. The foundation shall only be laid on firm rock or hard soil bed after removing decomposed rock and all loose material.

The contractor shall be fully responsible for Technical suitability of design, soundness of the construction, structural safety & water tightness of the structure based on the specifications, sound engineering practices, and latest IS provisions.

The Contractor will submit structural design & drawing of proposed RCC ESR duly checked and approved by competent authority of MNIT Jaipur / Engineering Collage Jodhpur

PAYMENT TERMS:- The Payment shall be made to the contractor as per breakup of payment mentioned below

in which stages of progress have been clearly defined: 1. On completion of foundation raft and beam. 10% 2. On completion of half of the staging with braces and stairs up to half staging 10% 3. On completion of full staging braces and stairs up to full staging. 10% 4. On completion of Bottom Ring Beam, Conical Wall, Balcony Beam & Bottom Dome 15% 5. On completion of half the Height of vertical wall 10% 6. On completion of full height of tank wall, top ring beam and top dome R.C.C. stairs from last landing to balcony beam and top of tank 10% 7. Fixing of all pipes, Valves, Duck Foot Bends, Specials and Valves and accessories like ladder inside tank, railing, lightening arrestor etc. 15%

8. On completion of Plinth Protection, Valve chambers, finishing, painting etc. and site clearance. 10%

9. On completion of testing of tank 10% TOTAL 100%
