COS Employment Requirements for Teachers • Title 5 and Academic Senate • Disciplines requiring a master’s degree (e.g. academic

areas: English, math, business, ESL, counseling) • Disciplines requiring a specific bachelor’s or associate

degree (e.g. biotechnology) • Disciplines where a master’s degree is not generally
