For SAFETY during Assembly

To safely assemble and use this robot, please be careful of the fol lowing points:

O Read the instruction manual thoroughly and be sure thatyou understand it before beginning assembly. Follow theinstructions carefully to ensure correct assembly.

O Exercise sufficient care when using tools.

OTo provide the required functions, some kit parts may besmall, have sharp edges, or be made of metal or glass.Parts should be handled carefully around small childrento prevent them from putting the parts in their mouth orinjuring themselves with the parts. lf a child swallows apart or bag, consult a doctor immediately. Also, be sureto tear the bags which contains the parts and discardthem where they cannot be reached by children.

O Follow the instructions regarding heat dispersion for partswhich generate heat.

OAssemble the kit according to the instructions in thismanual.Attempting to change the product specifications (pressureresistance, electric current, etc.) from those specified bythis company at the time of design may result inmalfunction or an accident.

O nOeOTlC ARM EDGE specifications, shape ,etc. aresubject to change without notice.

Addit ional caut ions regarding ROBOTIC ARM EDGE

OWhen using batteries, please be careful of thefollowing points:

1. Insert batteries with the polarity(+7-; terminalspositioned correctly

2. Do not short-circuit battery terminals, disassemblebatteries, apply heat to them, or discard them in fire.Doing so may result in heat generation, liquid leakage,or explosion.

3. After use, be sure to remove the batteries.

4. Keep batteries and the battery holder from getting wet.lf they get wet, remove the batteries and wipe thebatteries and battery holder dry with a cloth.

ELPFUL HINTS Before ASSEM

fCutting of partsUse a penknife to cut small parts off therunners. Cut the parts so that burrs remainon the parts, and then file off the burrsfrom the small parts after cutting them freeoff the runners.

f Using tapping screwstapping screws, like wood screws, can cutthreads in the materials they are screwedinto at the same time as they fasten partsto that material.lf you tighten a tapping screw in onemotion, it will become hard to turn thescrew at a certain point, it may becomeimpossible to fully tighten the screw, andthe screw head may break. A better way isto tighten the screw until it becomesdifficult to tighten further, then loosen thescrew slightly before retightening it further.Repeat this action severaltimes untilthescrew is completely tightened.

f lgntening of screws and nutslf screws and nuts are not tightenedsufficiently, they may loosen whenROBOTIC ARM EDGE is operated, resulting in parts falling off duringoperation. On the other hand, overtightening may cause parts to becomewarped, making movement difficult, or inthe worst cases, impossible. Tightenscrews and nuts sufficiently, but withoutovertightening.

f Mecnanical Parts ListParts required for assembly are maintained in themechanical parts list. This will help identify parts in theassembly process.
