• Click ‘Home’ from the menu on the left• Then, click ‘Options’

• Update your name and info• Click ‘Update Options’

• To change the order of the items in the menu, click ‘Page Order’

• Then drag and drop into the desired locations• Click the light bulb icon to hide ‘Resources’
and ‘Site Info’ from students

• Click to choose the desired amount of lessons• Give each lesson a unique title• Click ‘Continue’, then click ‘Finish’• Your lesson will now be in the menu

• This is where you will build your lessons• You can add text, multimedia, assignments, or quizzes (and
more) by simply clicking the menu bar above

Planning your Page:• Think of your ‘Lesson Page’ as your Lesson Plan. Include
everything in that space. How will you introduce your topic? What learning activity will you assign? Will you post a discussion question on the topic? What will the assignment be? Will you be testing them on that topic? How will you evaluate them/conclude the lesson?
• Answers to all these questions, and more, should all be clearly found on one page.
• Minimize clicking to open docs. Instead, copy and paste info right onto the Lesson Page.
How do I get help using OWL?• Within OWL there is a tab called ‘OWL Documentation’ you
can click it for more detailed information on how to use OWL• If this tab is not visible, click here
