This mini-publication gives an update of happening across college campuses in the United States that support Oxfam America.

If the U.S. government signs this declaration, the U.S. will stand in solidarity with other countries in their commitment to uphold the rights of vulnerable indigenous communi-ties. This declaration would help strengthen the already existing interna-tional laws and add more strength to the extractive industries transparency legislation passed last summer. For actions see pg. 2.
What a turnout! Thanks to all students who engaged their campus and commu-nity around oil pay-ment disclosure in Ghana. As a result of your hard work, Ox-fam received close to 1300 signatures from student leaders in sup-port of the revenue management bill! On
November 5, Oxfam partner, the Ghanaian Oil Platform held a press conference about the 40,000 signatures col-lected and then the peti-tions were walked over the Ghanaian Parliament and presented to the Par-liament Speaker and the President. Sow the Seed Your actions for World Food Day helped kick off Oxfam’s call for governments to “Sow
the Seed” of invest-ment in small farmers and climate adaptation financing. Oxfam stu-dents collected close to 800 signatures for Sow the Seed.
