“One of the hallmarks of the City of OxfordOrchestra is the friendly, informal atmosphere of itsconcerts where the players include the audience in theirenthusiasm. It is hard, in fact, to speak too highly of theorchestra, and everyone was left smiling at the end of aperfect evening.”

Levon ParikianConductor

“The real joy of the evening was Tom Poster’smasterly account of Rhapsody in Blue. Parikianrelaxed his beat and Poster lost himself inrhythmic subtleties and dreamy chords - for amoment the Sheldonian became a Manhattannightclub.”

Oxford Times

“Under Parikian’s warm support and deftencouragement the COO strings played withwondrous depth of tone and unanimity.Theirattack fizzed.”
