Founder/ Owner of Ozonator
Industry ZA, Jeffrey (Jeff) Block,
Entrepreneur by nature, has at the
age of 63, finally decided to pool
his 45 years of working life experi-
ence into one final thrust of leav-
ing a legacy - HCRWM!
Starting his career as a laborer in
1969, he worked his way up the
ranks, starting his carpentry ap-
prenticeship in 1970, qualifying as
a Carpenter in 1973, he continued
his career as a Journeyman, Fore-

The Birth of Ozonator Industry ZA—Hazardous Waste Management!
The Birth of ―Ozonator Industry ZA‖ —Continued!
O pportunity arose to
enter the eWaste Man-
agement market which
launched the founder into Hazard-
ous Waste management!
2009 saw the launch of “eR
eWaste Rescue” which incor-
porated the Waste 2Art ―Blocks
Clocks” (See picture above) and
“Schuyler-Net Labs” which
provided additional Computer
laboratories at schools in his com-
munity from eWaste donated !
Setting up infrastructure for
eWaste management in the Eden
District Municipality, resulted in
being nominated for an award for
―Innovation‖ by MEP (Mosselbay
Environmental Partnerships) in
December 2012.
2013 saw the launch of Ozonator
ZA—Medical Waste Division after
procuring Exclusivity to the

The OZONATOR NG tech-
nology is a revolutionary ad-
vancement in waste treatment
technology that is a sustainable
alternative to incineration,
chemical, autoclave and heat
treatment of bio-hazard waste.
Ozone is produced on board
the OZONATOR unit from
oxygen extracted from ambient air to treat the waste at 6 log
10 reductions (99.9999%) steri-
lization. Any excess ozone
from the treatment process is
converted back to oxygen
resulting in zero emission into
the environment.
OZONE is a form of oxygen,
consisting of three oxygen mol-
ecules (O3). Unlike diatomic
oxygen (O2 the breathable
oxygen present in the atmos-
phere), ozone is very unstable,
and decays back into O2 within
about 30 minutes under normal
atmospheric conditions.
OZONE is a powerful oxidiz-
ing agent. OZONE is effective
to kill essentially all pathogens
including bacteria, fungi, viruses,
as well as prions. OZONE is of
particular value as a disinfectant,
as it is able to promote the
oxidation of carbon-carbon
double bonds (C=C). This type
of bond is found in many biolog-
ical molecules, and in other
types of organic compounds,
most notably pharmaceuticals.
Ozone has the ability to diffuse
rapidly through cell walls and
interfere with cellular respira-
tion process. In addition, de-
composition of ozone in water
or in contact with water vapour
generates hydroxyl radicals
(•OH), which may also play an
important role in disinfection by
ozone. This is because OH-
radical is one of the most pow-
erful oxidants and reacts indis-
criminately with nearly all organ-
ic compounds.

converting them into gas using
electrical thermal-decomposition sys-
tem.
The incinerator mixes the emitted
hazardous gases such as dioxin at a
complete combustion ratio achieving a
perfect combustion and pathogen
killing treatment in the first and se-
cond combustion chambers and thus it
generates no dioxin at all.. The Eco-
friendly equipment minimizes the
everyone requiring no additional
treatment . * All procedures are auto-
matically operated.
* Extremely low cost for maintenance
and treatment . * Eco-friendly equip-

These lamps use a fraction of the
energy consumed by incandescent
bulbs, and are much longer-lasting.
Mercury containing medical equip-
ment are fortunately being re-
placed by electronic and other
alternative equipment, thus provi-
sion has been made to safely pro
cess and discard of the equip-
V arious types of lamps
and medical equipment
in common use con-
tain mercury. These include fluo-
rescent tubes, high intensity dis-
charge lamps, and compact fluo-
rescent lamps. The latter, in partic-
ular, have come into widespread
domestic and commercial use in
recent years as a result of efforts
to reduce electricity consumption.

Oz Crush—100% Recycling of all Mercury containing Lamps/ Medical Equipment!
Prosolv technology that removes
all the propane gas from used
canisters thus eliminating the risk
of explosions when these vessels
are punctured! After releasing the
remaining gas, the canisters can be
scrapped with local scrap dealers!
Likewise the Aerosolv technolo-
gy allows for the processing of
aerosol cans containing various
spray products such as deodor-
ants etc.
Zero emissions!
T echnology for processing
pressure vessels has long
been required in the
medical waste stream at health-
care facilities. Dumping these ves-
sels with the solid waste causes
untold harm when it is eventually
punctured and the contents re-
leased into the air/ soil thus con-
taminating same.
Part of Ozonator industry ZA‖s
solution to this challenge is to use
“Prosolv technology
removes all the
propane gas from used
canisters thus
eliminating the risk of
explosions when these
vessels are punctured! “

Our Goal!
Management of hazardous substances and waste has become a
global agenda, with rapid technological developments, has brought
about production of pollutant wastes, which pollutes both the
ozone and the ground which we all depend on.
Ozonator Industry ZA has joined the rest of the world by contrib-
uting in the handling, managing and safe disposal of such substances
before they get out of control like in some developed coun-
tries, We are coming in to bridge this gap by providing solutions
and affordable services to our city, province and to our nation and
the rest of Southern Africa/ Africa.
