Many friends attended open house New Year’s day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wadler. Harold Persons has been con- fined to his home with illness- and under a doctor’s care for the last week. Rev. and Mrs. C. W. Bailey of Lee, Mass., were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank- lin Borden. Rev. Bailey preached in the Advent Chris- tian church at Margaretville Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen Wilkens and son, Brian, are spending several days with his mother, Mrs. Use Wilkens, at Oneonta. They will also visit other rela- tives there. Mr. and Mrs. John Wallace and family spent Saturday with his brother-in-law and sis- ter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ring, and famili’ at Windham. The Ring family lives at Glen Head, L. I., and has rented a house in Windham for the ski seaison. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bowra of Rosendale spent Sunday ■with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Hitchcock. Mrs. Edith Perry Was Area Native Roxbury, Jan. 7.—‘Edith Par- sons Perry of Swarthmore, Pa., died last weekend and will be buried at Roxbury. Mrs. Perry is a Roxbury na- tive, the daughter of the late Melvin Parsons and his first wife. She grew up here, and graduated from the Roxbury school in 1910. Soon after- ward .she was married to Ar- thur L. Perry, who survives her. They had lived in Oster- ville, Mass., previous to mov- ing to Texas. Besides her husband she is survived by a son and a daugh- ter, a halfsister, Mrs. Eva Mur- daugh of Lubbock. Texas, and a halfbrother, Waldo Parsons of Middleburg and Florida. The Parsons family lived at the Lea Croft in RoXbury for many years and also had a farm above the village. Taken before Town Justice An- drew Schuman Jr., Conine was ordered to the Delaware coun- ty jail to await acticwj of the present grand jury. The charge is a felony because of a previ- ous conviction for DWI during the last 10 years. Salvatore Aprea Operated Hotel Salvatore J. sons Perry of Swarthmore, Pa., died last weekend and will be buried a t Roxbury.

Mrs. Perry is a Roxbury na­tive, the daughter of the late Melvin Parsons and his first wife. She grew up here, and graduated from the Roxbury school in 1910. Soon after­ward . she was married to Ar­thur L. Perry, who survives her. They had lived in Oster- ville, Mass., previous to mov­ing to Texas.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son and a daugh­ter, a halfsister, Mrs. Eva Mur- daugh of Lubbock. Texas, and a halfbrother, Waldo Parsons of Middleburg and Florida. The Parsons family lived a t the Lea Croft in RoXbury for many years and also had a farm above the village.

Douglas Conine, 49, of Ash­land was arrested by state po­lice of the Margaretville station on New Year’s Eve on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Taken before Town Justice An­drew Schuman Jr., Conine was ordered to the Delaware coun­ty jail to await acticwj of the present grand jury. The charge is a felony because of a previ­ous conviction for DWI during the last 10 years.

Salvatore J. Aprea, 65, of Kingston, a former Margaret- ville r e s i d e n t and owner- operator of the Paradise lodge, died in Kingston hospital yes­terday following a long illness.

Delhi.—^The vocational educa­tion division of Delhi Tech is offering .the beginning office worker program on Monday, Jan. 18. The course develops capabilities in typing, book­keeping, abbreviated shorthand, mailroom procediu«s and use of office machines^ I t is de­signed for students having an interest in business, but with limited or no training in the field. The course is one semes­ter of 16 weeks covering 450 hours of instruction, six hours per day.

Evening business courses will also begin Jan. 18. Courses offered for credit include type­writing, human relations, prin­ciples of finance, tourism, American Literature 2, intro­duction to statistics, creatlvev^ writing and international rela- ' tions.
