This weekend, we are delighted to welcome back Fr. Jacob Carlin who was ordained a priest this past Sat-urday in Wichita, Kansas. I was honored to concelebrate his first Mass at his home parish: St. Cath-erine of Siena in Wichita. It’s fitting that the Ordination took place on Memorial Day weekend as the newly ordained were commissioned to keep the memory of Jesus alive.
As you know, Fr. Jacob served here this past year as a transitional deacon. It’s fantastic to have him with us this weekend for a special Mass of Thanksgiving!
We also extend a warm welcome Fr. Jacob’s wonderful parents: Keith and Ann Carlin who are joining us for this special celebration!
This past year, Fr. Jacob has been involved in so many areas of our parish life. He baptized many of our in-fants in the Sacrament of Baptism. He visited people who were sick and in need of healing. He gave thoughtful presentations to several of our Confirmation groups. He also worked with our Holy Infant Youth Ministry in planning events with our Core Team. I wish that I could adequately pass on all of the wonderful comments that I have received about the quality of his homilies and his great pastoral care! I know for sure that we rejoice with Jacob – praising Jesus – for choos-ing him to love Him, and his Church, with passion, fi-delity and generosity! Congratulations Fr. Jacob Car-lin!
Also this weekend, we welcome the Little Sisters of the Poor who do an incredible job of serving the poor in St. Louis and around the world. The Little Sisters offer the tender and compassionate love of Jesus Christ to so many elderly, particularly those who are poor. Earlier this year, it was announced that the Sisters will eventu-ally be leaving the Archdiocese of St. Louis. They are, however, still fully operational and will continue to serve for the foreseeable future. Please be generous to the Little Sisters as they continue their beautiful mis-sion and ministry to those in need!
God’s blessings to you and your family!

PENTECOST SUNDAY JUNE 4, 2017
Celebrate the Fa ma Centennial with the Holy Infant Legion of Mary! 2017 marks the 100th anniversary of the appari on of the Blessed Virgin Mary to 3 shepherd children in Fa ma, Portugal. Mary, Mother of God, appeared to the children six mes, every 13th of the month, May - October 1917. Hovering above the holm oak at the Cova on July 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fa ma told the three children, "Con nue to pray the Rosary every day in honor of the Lady of the Rosary to obtain the end of the war and peace for the world, for only she alone can save it."
Holy Infant’s Legion of Mary is helping you to celebrate, help the world, and gain indulgences to help souls.
Pope Francis has granted a plenary indul-gence to “the pious faithful who visit with devo on a statue of Our Lady of Fa ma solemnly exposed for public venera on in any church, oratory or proper place dur-ing the days of the anniversary of the appari ons, the 13th of each month from May to October ( 2017 “venera on days”), and there devoutly par cipate in some celebra on or prayer in honor of the Virgin Mary.” For the plenary indul-gence, one also goes to confession within 3 weeks, and on the venera on day, pray for the Pope and go to Communion
Our second opportunity will be Tuesday, June 13th in the Holy Infant Eucharis c Adora on Chapel. A statue of our Lady of Fa ma will be enthroned for venera on that day. Right now, you can:
* Mark your calendar with all the Fa ma “venera on days”, especially the next one, June 13th.” * Go to h p://www.ewtn.com/library/ANSWERS/PRIMINDU.HTM to read more about indulgences.
* Pick up a free rosary and literature in the ves bule.

Living God’s Word “To each is given the manifesta-
tion of the Spirit for the common good.” 1 Corinthians 12:7 To receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, you must open your heart and let Him in! Open your heart and be grateful for all the gifts God has given us. Regardless of your circum-stance, God has given us all blessings. What we do with those gifts is our gift back to God. Generously sharing our gifts keeps us more “God-centered” and less “self-centered”.
Holy Infant 2017-18 Guide Book & Directory Advertising Opportunity Would your local business like to advertise in Holy Infant’s Guidebook and Directory? It is printed and mailed directly to every parishioners’ home once a year at no cost to our church! Recent results surveys indicate that 92% of the families would rather patronize an advertiser from the Guidebook and Directory than looking elsewhere. If you are interested in advertising your business and would like more information please contact Beth Price at (314)540-3102.
Meal-A-Month bags will be collected next weekend in the lower lobby before all Masses. Suggested items: canned meat or fish, stew, pasta sauce, powered po-tatoes, jelly, corn bread, dry jello, dry pudding , and cake mix.
