  • About him Picasso was born in Mlaga, Spain on October 25,1881. He died in Mougins, France on 8 April 1973 an he was 91 years old. He was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. He was one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co- founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture

  • Early life Picasso's training under his father began before 1890. At the age of 14, he painted Portrait of Aunt Pepa, a vigorous and dramatic portrait that Juan-Eduardo Cirlot has called "without a doubt one of the greatest in the whole history of Spanish painting. Picasso made his first trip to Paris in 1900, then the art capital of Europe.

  • Famous Artwork Les Demoiselles dAvignonNude, Green Leaves and Bust This paintings was painted in 1907 and it was called the most innovative painting since the work of Giotto. He reductionism and contortion of space in the painting was incredible, and dislocation of faces explosive. This masterpiece is created in the early months of 1932. The painting was sold for a price of $106.5 million which was a world record in 2010.

  • Education In 1897, a 16-year-old Picasso moved to Madrid to attend the Royal Academy of San Fernando. He became frustrated with his school's singular focus on classical subjects and techniques. Picasso would begin to skip class to wander the city and paint what he observed.

  • Reflection I decided to make my PowerPoint on Pablo Picasso because I admire his art work and wanted to learn more about his life and what he did to become a famous artist. In my opinion I believe that his art work is very creative and unique because not many artist can make artwork like his. In some of his most famous paintings you can see a lot of the emotion he had for the subject of the painting.
