mation AG in 2008, you can rely on 90 years of experience in the field of machinery

and equipment for the manufacture of cardboard and foil packaging materials.

Manz Automation AG, based at Reutlingen/Germany, is a globally leading high-tech

mechanical engineering company. The company, which was founded in 1987, has

developed over recent years from an automation specialist into a provider of integrated

production lines for the photovoltaic industry (crystalline and thin film), and for the

manufacturing of flat screens. The development and manufacturing of production

systems for lithium-ion batteries comprises a new business area. The Group of

companies, which is managed by founder Dieter Manz, and which has been listed on the

Our high-performance machines make use of the latest technologies to set pioneering

standards. In the field of packaging we have specialized in the following areas:

•Machines for the production of bottle caps for wine and spirits

The long years of experience of our staff working in the various product divisions and

All these machines and equipments stand for a program contributing several decades

of experience and know-how in building machines for packing means made of paper

and cardboard. The steadily grown know-how on materials and technologies to shape

those materials to leak-free containers is still applied when designing machines for

today’s consumer products:

• Spiral-wound round cans, with spiral- or parallel-label, for various applications and

filling goods, like e.g. Instant products, snack-food (chips), spices, tobacco, etc.

As food packaging additionally equipped with a barrier layer to fulfil the extremely

high demands in leak tightness

• Wound cardboard boxes for cheese (over-cap type), produced on our well proved

production line including integrated ring winder, lid forming and assembling machine

• Drawing round cardboard boxes for cheese (with collar) for the packing of processed

cheese triangle, produced on our Double Press for synchronous production of top and

base part as well as assembling machine

• Two-part ice cream lid, produced on our production line including paper unreeling and

glueing unit, spiral winder, knife cutter plus ring cutter and lid forming machine

Machines and equipments for the production of packing means made of paper and cardboard – starting from the very beginning with simple, bottle-shaped containers for liquids like milk and motor oil, nowadays the most attractive and ambitious packages, like e.g. Pringles.

Our program comprises complete production lines starting from the paper unreeling unit, via spiral winding (including anaconda-, folding, sealing and gluing units), cutting and labelling up to finishing the can top and base side for the various can closing systems.

Reliable, fully automatic high-performance machines for decorative, sales promoting

and original seals for wine, sparkling wine and spirits, made of plastic, aluminium and

compound foils with a wide range of finishes:
