Assignment: Create a life size figure using packing tape, that will create interest in the viewer and affect the school environment.
Steps
1. Chose groups of 3-4
2. On your assignment sheet:
1. Who is in your group?
2. What is the attitude or mood?
3. Where do you want your sculpture to be?
4. Draw a simple gesture (stick) figure showing your pose.
3. You are going to do the head first…. Make an opening in the plastic wrap so the model can breath… Wrap the head, top, chin, and neck with plastic wrap.
4. Wrap with packing tape 3 times…. This will make the form firm, you don’t want it to collapse when removed.
5. Cut the tape away from the face with one long opening, be careful not to cut hair or the model!
6. Repeat process on other body parts…. Make sure your model holds the pose you are creating.
