IntroductionWe continue to improve the LexisNexis online services to provide a high quality research experience for you.
In July 2006 we will be introducing new and enhanced features to LexisNexis NZ. They have been developed to increase ease of use, provide additional flexibility to meet different search preferences, and accelerate working with your legal research results.
In this brief introduction we preview a selection of the changes to be implemented in the July upgrade. In the weeks leading to the upgrade we will continue to provide you with further information to help make using LexisNexis NZ easier

The Source DirectoryThere are several ways to access the LexisNexis Source Directory from the home page

Changes to Source DirectoryThe Source Directory now has added flexibility with the addition of several features to make finding multiple sources easy

Two sub tabs in the Source Directory
NEW Two filters available By Country
(for subscribers of international content)
and Content Type
Example: When you select Browse Sources then choose by Area of Law • Sources can be filtered by Country and Content Type
Select the Area of Lawby checking the box

that area of law

Additional Document Delivery OptionsAdditional features to increase options of how search results are delivered
Currently PDF format is only available for ‘print copy’ versions of publications such as cases and bulletins. In this next upgrade you will also be able to email PDF or download documents to a PDF in the same way as you do with Microsoft® Word.*
NEW PDF format available for either email or downloading
functions
NEW the addition of the Arial font for email, printing or
downloading functions
* This will not produce a ‘print copy’ version of the document

QuestionsHave the System Requirements Changed?No. The upgraded LexisNexis NZ does not require any increase in hardware or system specifications.
Will My Password Change?No. Your password(s) for using LexisNexis NZ will remain unchanged. Will the Web Address (URL) Change?No. You will still access LexisNexis NZ at: http://www.lexisnexis.com/nz/legalWho do I contact for any assistance I need with the upgrade?Our Helpline 0800 800 986 is available to assist with any questions.
Will you be sending more information?Yes we will be. We will be providing you with details of the changes, additional screen shots and access to online tutorials so you can start using the new features straight away.
