There was an application sent to Duntroon 6 December 2012 that has gone unanswered. We have no current contact details for the Duntroon Records unit. The last contact we have is [email protected]

Are you able to supply any contact details for the current Record Keeping Manager at Duntroon. Our researcher has written to the Ombudsman and has recently submitted a request for another 50 cadet files. It would be great to have a contact to send the requests through too.

The National Archives of Austral ia is cu rrent ly following up an app lication for access under Section 40 of t he Archives Act 1983.

The initial request was received by the Nationa l Archives in December 2012 and forwarded to Duntroon on

20th December 2012. A follow-up request was sent through again on 5 July 2013.

Unfortunately, these req uests have gone unanswered, ou r contact deta ils for the records manager at Duntroon were out of date.

Attached is a copy of t he latest correspondence sent to Du ntroon for this inqu iry. The National Archives would prefer to receive all records whole, and not copied.

There was two applications for McGregor. section 22 - irrelevant material and one for the Duntroon file.

I rang George Okane but spoke to his offsider Melinda Duncan. They were not aware there was an application for the Duntroon file (because NAA sent it to the wrong person).

They are going to ask Duntroon for the file before giving it to NAA.

It is still not clear if the file we have is an amalgamation of the two files .
