Bragg, NC. On Friday, March 26, 2010, the Liberator, Physician, and Comforter allowed our beloved son and brother to enter into peaceful rest. Darrell received his High School diploma from E.E. Smith Senior High School. He participated in JV and Varsity football; he also enjoyed sandlot basketball. After gradua- tion, Darrell enlisted the Army. During his enlistment, he served in various assignments as a chef. Darrell was skilled as a long distance truck driver and butcher. His hobbies were spending quality time with his family; shooting pool with Dad; dancing and music. Darrell will be remembered as a rambunctious, fun loving son, brother and cousin who cherished his entire family and believed in Jesus Christ. He was the last living child of 3 born to Charlie and Mary Quinn Stamps. He accepted Christ at an early age. His wife Annie Mae Walker Stamps preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory a preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter Phyllis Short (Charlie) of Phenix City, Alabama, a son Fred Stamps Jr. (Mary) of Parkton, NC; Al.; 4 Grandsons; Michael (Tamekia), Gregory, and Christopher all of Phenix City, Al.; Fredaerric Stamps of Parkton, NC; 3 Great Grand- sons (Joshua, Isaiah and Jeremiah Biggs) of Phenix City, Al; a host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and a brother like friend Leroy Pool and a host of other friends. A Time to Be Born Gary Dale Burnett Jr. was born October 28, 1983 to Gary Dale Burnett, Sr. and Pertrilla McPhail Poe. He transitioned his life on April 7, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, NC. A Time to Plant Gary received his elementary education in Naples, Italy and Fayetteville, NC. During his High School years he was an avid soccer player, football and basketball player. He graduated from Pine Forest High School. A Time to Seek Christ Gary realized as a youth he wanted a personal relationship with Christ. He made the decision in 1999 at North East Community Church, Norcross, GA. He continued his relationship with Christ and joined Simon Temple A.M.E. Zion Church in 2009. A Time to Recap… Gary was an industrious and productive worker. If there were something that needed to be done, Gary would do it. If the laundry needed to be done, or the floor needed to be swept, he felt it was his responsibility to do it. He was committed to being a team player. Gary was a skilled and dedicated employee at Food lion Distribution Center in Dunn, NC. A Time to Weep Gary loved his parents, his children and his brothers and sisters. Gary loved all of his friends. To him a friend was better than gold. His friends were his extended family. If they were pain, he would want to take their pain away. If they were upset or uncertain about situations in life, Gary would try to bring peace and laughter. He was caring, generous, and full of life. Gary leaves a strong legacy of love and devotion to his children, Zandria Munn, Harmony Davis, and Zaylon Burnett. He was preceded in death by: His father, Gary Burnett, Sr.; grandparents, James McPhail and Pearlie McDonald Patterson and John Burnett and Mabel Collins. Darrell Carter was born January 7, 1960 to CSM Ernest and Mildred Carter atWomack Army Medical Center, Ft. Bragg, NC. On Friday, March 26, 2010, the Liberator,Physician, and Comforter allowed our beloved son and brother to enter into peaceful rest.
