Shri Kasturi Lal Mahajan, son of Late Shri Sardari Lal Mahajan (Khairiwale) was born on 6th February, 1950 at village Khairi, Tehsil Bishnah.He had three brothers and four sisters. After qualifying B.Sc from GGM

Science College, he did LLB from Jammu University. Thereafter, he started hisown business as a trader at Nehru Market Warehouse Jammu and opened aChakki Plant in Warehouse. He was also the Founder of Mahajan Rice Mill atGangyal. After proving his mettle in the field, he entered Flour Mill business and with hishard work and dedication, he became owner of 4 Flour Mills within a span of 10to 15 years. He got married to Smt Veena Kalsotra, daughter of Late Shri Vaishno BhagatKalsotra of Udhampur in 1973. He blessed with two sons and one daughter,whom he provided good education. Both his sons are looking after family busi-nesses while his daughter cleared KAS in 2004. He was an active member of Central Mahajan Sabha and always remained help-ful towards needy people. He was a hardworking, honest and dedicated busi-nessman.
