Greetings to all my listeners!

I am inviting you to join me on my next tour - this time to romantic Rajasthan in northern India. ASIAQUEST TOURS has organised an 18-day Palaces and Castles itinerary for us, departing in March 2020. Once again, it represents unbeatable value at an all-inclusive price that includes all your meals, transfers, flights, sight-seeing tours and tipping!

I have never been to India but I have it on good authority that the best introduction to the subcontinent is the desert kingdom of Rajasthan. Why so? Well, what’s not to love about a land where the cities are described by their colours, where moustachioed men in fluorescent turbans decorate their camels and where magical maharajahs’ palaces float on every hilltop? Where else can you enjoy the luxury of staying in converted palaces, hunting lodges and heritage properties owned by the royal families of Rajasthan?

But our itinerary also covers the Golden Triangle – an imaginary line linking Delhi, Jaipur and Agra – known for some of the most famous monuments in India and in the world. So, if India is on your bucket list, or if you have a keen sense of curiosity and a spirit of discovery, then join me on this amazing tour in March 2020!

Our welcome to Rajasthan is the romantic palace hotel in Nawalgarh and Alsisar where we spend one night at each palace enjoying its beautifully decorated interiors and sparkling blue pool in a marble setting. As we head deeper into desert country, we

will be staying at the red sandstone Palace Hotel! Our travels will take us from the ‘blue’ city of Jodpur to the ‘pink’ city of Jaipur. It’s not all palaces and castles though - our itinerary takes in four magnificent forts and one of the most spectacular Jain temples in India. In Udaipur, the ‘city of lakes’, we will come across one of the most recognisable hotels in the world, the Lake Palace Hotel, made famous in the James Bond movie Octopussy. And speaking of movies, who hasn’t heard of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel? A highlight of our tour will be to visit this small but very real hotel made famous by Judy Dench, Maggie Smith and Richard Gere! Back on the Golden Triangle, we will explore the walled Old City of Jaipur and then climb aboard painted elephants to enter the spectacularly preserved Amber Fort. And we’ve saved the best for last – a visit to the Taj Mahal, followed by the World Heritage listed Agra Fort, two famous examples of Moghul architecture at its finest. You couldn’t ask for a better introduction to India!!!

In my opinion, this trip has it all – it is jam-packed with highlights and heritage and I am really excited about it! It’s a tour fit for a maharajah or maharani but not priced like one – like all ASIAQUEST TOURS, it is excellent value for money! As always, I encourage you to send in your deposit early as this tour is bound to book out quickly! I look forward to seeing you in March 2020!
