    Hydraulic overload protection is stan-

    mediately in the event of irregularities

    1 Die hoist

    An integrated hoist facilitates the hand-

    ling of dies, rolls, front plate, and rotary

    feed cone. The hydraulic die hoist on

    the Paladin 1200 and 1600 is optional,

    whereas on the Paladin 2000 and 3000

    series it is a standard feature.

    2 Roll adjustment system

    The system makes roll adjustment fast,

    easy, and very accurate.

    Standard Paladin pellet mills can have

    two or three rolls.

    With the optional automatic roll adjust-

    ment system, roll gaps can be adjusted

    from the control desk, which provides

    the advantages of fast die change, infi-

    nitely variable readjustment during op-

    eration, and resetting without the risk of

    rolling over the die.

  • 3 Pellet chamber

    The stainless steel pellet chamber door

    can be left-hinged or right-hinged to

    suit the installation. Adjustable, cali-

    brated knives provide the required pel-

    let length.

    4 Door

    The door is fitted with safety switches

    to prevent the machine being opened

    while it is running.

    5 V-belt drive transmission

    Shock-absorbing V-belts form the first

    stage of the Paladin drive transmission

    with a hydraulic system for constant

    maintenance of the correct tension.

    Thus, slippage is eliminated, and the

    operational life of the V-belts is pro-

    longed.

    6 Two-stage twin drive

    The patented Paladin two-stage drive

    system forms the basis of ideal trans-

    mission ratios. The combination of resil-

    ient V-belts and a high-torque toothed

    belt reduces the noise level and makes

    it possible to use standard electric mo-

    tors and select a variety of die speeds.

    7 Overload protection

    The die and roll assembly is protected

    by a hydraulic overload system, which

    stops the main motors in the event of an

    overload. Re-setting is quick and easy.

    8 Automatic lubrication

    The Paladin series includes an auto-

    matic grease lubrication system to

    ensure that press rolls and main shaft

    bearings are lubricated with the correct

    amount of grease.
