The Organization of American States (OAS), through the Rowe Fund program, grants interest-free loans to Latin American and Carib-bean students.

If you are an F or J student visa holder and have been admitted or are currently enrolled in the last two years of undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate studies in an accredited U.S. University, you may qualify for funding of up to $15,000.

According to the Institute of International Ed-ucation (IIE) - Open Doors report, there were 333 students from Barbados studying in the U.S. during the 2018-19 academic year.

Overall, the number of international students enrolled in U.S. universities surpassed one mil-lion, with only 80,962 of these from the Carib-bean and Latin American region. Within this number, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, and Colom-bia combined represent 58.18% of internation-al students from the region while Barbados represents just 0.41%.
