THE LOREM IPSUMS SUMMER 2016
Philanthropy and PhunThe Greek women of Hanover College have been
busy planning philanthropic events such as Pie and
ADPi and the Chi Omega Fashion Show as well
as spreading Christmas cheer!
Chi Omega Fashion Show
The Chi Omegas hosted their annual silent auction and
Fashion Show on December 6th in the CC to raise money
for their philanthropy, the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Each Fraternity and Sorority was represented in the show
dressed up in hand-made recyclable costumes from their
favorite Christmas movie! The delegate with the mostmoney in their jar was crowned the winner. Sigma Chi
came in first with Kappa Alpha Theta as a close second.
December 4th through the 7th, ADPi allowed Hanover
students to pie one of their members with a $1 donation
to their philanthropy, The Ronald McDonald House.
The women of Kappa Alpha Theta put on their annual
white elephant gift exchange. This tradition involves a
hunt for the most humorous of gifts and a fight for the
biggest and often times, most beautifully wrapped
presents. Only then can all the girls open their presents,
finding out the identity of each comical Santa Claus.
When asked about the house decorations, Jaclyn Kabazie,a Sophomore Phi Mu, states, Phi Mu has always made it a
tradition to decorate the house in a fun and energetic way.
Our inspiration comes from the movie Griswolds Christmas!
This event is by far one of our favorites; it really shows how
much we love each other during the holidays. We get together
and throw decorations everywhere while laughing and
enjoying the company of our sisters, it leaves us with great
memories and some really good laughs!
