Product:The ATHENA-R2 is the ultimate router for the multi-device household. Built with a 1.4GHz Qual-comm® Dual Core Processor, 16 high power ampli-fiers, and 4 high gain antennas, the ATHENA-R2 de-livers unmatched Wi-Fi performance. It is equipped to provide unprecedented coverage, speed, and reliability for the most demanding networks with many connected devices. Extremely fast AC2600 Wi-Fi technology provides up to 2.53Gbps, making lag and buffering a thing of the past for everyone. The ATHENA-R2 also features cutting edge MU-MIMO technology that enables multiple devices to receive data at once, granting uninterrupted streaming for all. It includes two USB ports, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0.

The challenge: Users of the ATHENA-R2 High Power AC2600 should

be able to convert their home or office into a multi-media storage center by attaching a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 storage device to their Wi-Fi router. This would enable users to save any of their multimedia files from any device on the network and also enable them to stream their files seamlessly within their home or office. The solution should be easily imple-mented, not increasing the final product’s time-to-market.

Requirements: • Full read-write access to Windows (NTFS-format-ted) and FAT32 storage devices, attached to Amped Wireless Linux-based platforms via USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports to use removable storage for added file sharing options across compatible devices such as cameras, smartphones and computers.• Full read & write access to NTFS (Windows-format-ted) and FAT32 storage devices to enable sharing multimedia across compatible devices including cameras, smartphones and computers• High speed data transfer• Minimum time-to-market• Technology customization to a particular product• Expert integration support

The solution: Integration of Paragon UFSD-based products, NTFS for Linux and FAT32 for Linux drivers, with the ATHE-NA-R2 Linux-based firmware.
