Europe for Citizens 2007-2013 Programme manages to bring Europe closer to its citizens and to enable them to participate actively in the European construction.

Through this programme, citizens have the opportunity to be involved in transnational exchanges and cooperation activities, contributing to develop a sense of belonging to common European ideals and encouraging the process of European integration

The principal aims:

● Promote the construction of a more tangible Europe for its citizens

● Contribute to the development of unitary European identity● Create a sense of belonging to the European Union

● Promote experiences exchange among different geographical areas citizens

● Contribute to intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding



General aims

Develop a network on European citizenship issues, integration and intercultural dialogue, built up through young people

Make a comparison between citizen rights and duties in partners countries and in Europe, connected to the Charter of Rights and the European citizenship principles

Identify and share good practices of integration and intercultural dialogue

Involving young people stimulating their pro-active participation on inclusive citizenship issue
