Infant MassageThis introductory class teaches parents and caregivers the gentle art of massaging babies . Infant massage has been shown to help strengthen and regulate the respiratory, circulatory, and gastrointestinal functions, often relieving the discomforts of colic and gas . It also helps the baby relax and provides an opportunity for parents to engage in loving communication with their baby . This is a hands-on class, so bring your baby to class with you .

NICU Parent Support ProgramsFamily Support Services and the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staff offer many education opportunities and resources for all of our new families with babies in the NICU . The following is available to our parents:
NICU Orientation: Parents should attend one of these sessions during the first week that their baby was admitted .
NICU Discharge: Parents should plan to attend the classes once their babies have reached a minimum of 34 weeks gestation age .
CPR Training: Parents will be scheduled for this training prior to discharge .
Parents for Parents (PFP): Is a family support group provided by a group of parents whose children have graduated the NICU . PFP volunteers provide and distribute monthly gifts to all our NICU babies as well as offering parent matching . Parent matching enables families currently in the NICU to speak with graduate families whose child was in a similar situation in the NICU .
