Philosophy
Rosy’s Home Daycare is a state licensed child care agency
offering a home atmosphere with love, individual attention, and
a respectful environment for your child. Children love doing
activities for their parents in my daycare. In Rosy’s Home
Daycare we let the children be children. They need their own
little time to do what they want to do as long it is safe (i.e. if
boys want to play with dolls that is fine, and if girls want to play
with cars that are fine as well). I care for children ages 0 months
through 11 years old. My belief is to let kids be kids at playtime.
The kids can color, watch videos, create object s with blocks,
build tracks, and play with cars or dolls. I do not have what is
referred to as a preschool program, but the kids get to do plenty
of learning activities. My fundamental objective is to provide a
safe, clean and loving environment in which each child will feel
that he/she is loved, valued, and wanted.

policy toward all children and applicants. Children are enrolled
basis on the date requested and availability of openings. All
policies, contracts, and forms must be completed.
CANCELLATION OF SERVICES
Your child’s adjustment is important to both of us. It is agreed
that a one week adjustment period will exist. Also if for any
reason you do not longer need my services, I will need a one
week advance written notice.
LEAVING AND PICKING UP CHILDREN
Please walk child (ren) in and out when leaving daycare. This
way I can find out how child (ren) are feeling; and if any special
instructions are needed for the child (ren).
CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT

has to leave with someone else other than parents/guardians a

POSSIBLE.

I must have a written form from any child’s parents or guardian
to be able to give a child any medication. The only medication I
accept from parents or guardian is one with the child’s first and
last name on the original bottle with the date and the expiration
date on it.

I keep a first aid kit available at all times in case of an
emergency.

day of your regular payment date, if I have not received payment
a late fee of $25.00 will be charged per child. Unless notified the
provider.
• PROGRAMS
During the week we try to do an activity every day; if not, we
finish the ones we started earlier. We do some dancing, running,
and jumping. During the summer we have different water
activities. We also do holiday activities throughout the year.

children and Santa Clause also brings them a gift.
Summer is not a holiday but during the summer we do
some walking, water games (sprinkler, water balloons) we have
the police officer, fire truck and their car and truck come over
and talk to the kids.
• MY BETTER JUDGENMENT
An issue that never applies to you, but needs to be written is the
matter in which a person or parent who is here to pick up the
child is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If I feel that
he/she is unable to safely drive your child and themselves, I
have the right to call one of the emergency contacts you have
listed to pick up your child and person.
TRANSPROTATION AND FIELD TRIP
I do not provide transportation in my vehicle unless it is for an
emergency. Rosy’s Home Day Care will be taking field trips
during the year such as to public parks, the public library, and
nature walks. We will also have a fire truck and a police car
come over to my daycare to talk to the kids about safety and
show off their cars. A written authorization form from the
parents/guardians is mandatory before going on the field trip.
During field trips I will carry a first aid kit and the children’s
personal file. I will have an assistant with me during field trips
to help me watch the children.
PLAN FOR EXCLUDING PEOPLE WHO’S
PRESENCE ON THE PREMISES IS PROHIBITED
BY REGULATIONS
Any person not authorized to be around your child (ren) in my
child care should be reported to me immediately due to parents
or police authorities
CLOTHING
Please dress your child so that he/she is free to play. During
cooler weather bring appropriate clothes like coats and hats to
play outside. Please provide an extra change of clothing for
children under age of 5 years. Sorry I cannot always prevent
what happens to your child’s clothes in my care; although, I do
my best so these things won’t happen. I may at times need to
wash your child’s clothes, especially after an accident.
TOILET TRAINING
Successful toilet training begins when the child is showing
appropriate signs. Some common signs that a child is ready
include:
*Removing their own diaper after urination
*Long periods of time between diapers
*Showing interest in the toilet
Cooperation and consistency between home and child care is
essential to successful toilet training. When your child is in
training, you will be required to provide pull-ups or thick
training pants to go over them to maintain necessary sanitation,
and at least 2 full change of clothing in case of accidents.
HEALTH /ILLNESS
State law requires that every child in daycare have an up-to-date
physical exam, and up-to-date immunization record. Please give
me a copy of all immunization status. I will accept children with
colds and other minor illness. Toys, equipment, furnishings, and
facility will be cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis. Any
questions or doubts please call in the morning and we will make
a joint decision.

in a quiet resting place. I will call you to pick up your child
so that he/she will not infect others and be more
comfortable to be home with you. Please notify me at once
when you find that your child has a contagious disease so

Hands will be washed after diapering each child.
MEDICAL EMERGENCI0ES
In the event of a medical emergency I will first call 911, and let
the parents or guardians as soon as possible. If parents or
guardians cannot be reached I will be calling the emergency
contact names and numbers you have listed on the enrollment
form. Should immediate medical attention be required, the child
will be taken to the appropriate hospital/clinic.
• INJURIES
If an injury occurs in my child care I will be the one to do first
aid. When parents arrive I will let them know what happen and
will have a written notice explaining to them what happen and
what time it happen. This will need to be sign by me and the
parents then filed in the child filed.
• STAFF ROLE
The role for my volunteer is to do things with the children
for example play games, play tea time, and dance or even just
have fun with them
• FILES
All the children files are kept in a brown file cabinet in the
closet with the double white doors.
TYPICAL STAFFING PLAN WHEN I AM ABSENT
If for a doctor’s apt, for errands, or dentist apt., I will be absent
for 1 hour or a 1 ½ my assistant and volunteers will be taking
care of my children until I return back. I will let you know in
advance for any appointment I will have and your permission for
my assistant to look after your child (ren). My volunteers and
assistant know where I keep all my children records and first aid
kit. They also know what to do in case of an emergency and who
to contact.

facility.
POLICY REGARDING PETS
I have no pets in my home
EVACUATION PLAN
In case of a fire I will be evacuating my home and all the
children will be with me at the designated place front or side of
the house. Children that cannot walk will be carried by me.
Once we are at the designated place I will also do a head count
and call their names out. Once we are out I will call 911 and
from there I will be calling parents to come by and pick up their
child (ren) as soon as possible and letting you know where we
are at. I will have their files with me at all time and the first aid
kit.
SIGNING IN AND OUT/VISITATIONS
The State of Washington requires your complete signature when
you drop off and pick up your child. If your child leaves the
facility to attend school then I, without your permission, may
sign your child out and in.
VISITATIONS
Parents have free access at all time to all areas used by children.
I really prefer that if you want to come and visit to try to do it
before or after lunch or their naps. The reason for this is because
when children see their parents they get really active and then it
is harder for them to sit down and eat or take their nap.
SUPERVISING CHILDREN
I will supervise children at all times when we are passing from
home space to outdoor by having the children all in a row and
going out the door one at time. Children also have a gate that
blocks any access to unalloyed space.
I will let the Dept. know when I am having any big remodeling
or dangerous changes to the kid’s space.
AGREEMENT FOR CHILD
If you agree to all the policies and procedures, stated previously,
I ask that you sign and date this contract, so that I may provide
child care for your child (ren).
