Ice Cream Parlour Menu & Brochure

Scoops Ice Cream Parlour Menu & BrochureFor this project, I began by designing the company logo and then built the menu and brochure to follow the same design. The typography and soft colours chosen help give both documents an original look and less of a corporate feel. In Adobe Illustrator, I created the vector graphics and brought them all together with the text to create the layout using InDesign.

MTY Rewards Program InfographicMTY Food Group operates 2,200 restaurants under 37 diff erent banners, all of which are tied into their rewards program.The goal of this project was to create an infographic to display all the statistics of the rewards program to illustrate the successful year the program had.

Wine Label & Brochure

Bibi Graetz Wine Label & BrochureFor this wine label, I used several colours to create a graphic for the front of the bottle. I put these colours to use with Photoshop brushes that would make this small label stand out to a large audience.When it came time to design the booklet for the wine maker, I wanted to make sure that the images of the vineyard were large enough to look appealing to readers while still having enough white space to keep the pages uncluttered. Using a very simple and light font also helped me achieve an elegant booklet design.

“The Making of Taxi Driver” Book CoverThe goal of this project was to take an existing book and redesign the cover. I chose a book about the making of the movie Taxi Driver by Martin Scorsese and decided to design a minimalist cover. Instead of having the typical image of a taxi on the front cover, I dug in to the story to get other elements that represented it well. I achieved this minimalist design by using vector graphics, textures and only three colours.

Hub HardwareFor this project, my objective was to create a small monochromatic logo. With that in mind I set up this design using the hardware theme. The letter “H” was designed to look like it was made of three beams that were bolted together. I finalized the layout with a simple font for the rest of the letters.

Scoops Ice Cream ParlourThis logo was created as part of a project that involved the design of a menu and brochure for a local ice cream parlour. My goal was to create a logo that had less of a corporate and more of an original, rustic look. While still using vectors to have a modern looking design, I incorporated elements such as banners, specific colours and fonts that would help me achieve this look.

Cardinal Security ServicesThe objective for this creative project was to illustrate a bird and then use it in a logo design. The male cardinal is a very protective bird, therefore I linked it to a security company. I chose to use only a portion of the bird’s body and beak colour, using black for the rest. The bird’s beak directs the viewer’s eye to the company name that is written with a very clean yet bold font.

Jony Ive Exposition Poster

Jony Ive Exposition PosterThe goal of this project was to create a poster for an exposition about Jony Ive, the SVP of Design at Apple Inc. If you look at any of Apple’s product designs, they are very simple and minimalist.I kept Jony’s simplistic design by drawing a vector version of him in his iconic pose and by spelling out his name using the full colour gamut of the iPod nano, one of his well known designs.

Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Visitor’s Guide

Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Visitor’s GuideThe Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is the largest museum in the city and is one of the most prominent in Canada.For this project I had to design a visitor’s guide to the museum that displayed the main works from each of the museum’s six permanent exhibits. I set up a layout that would be used throughout the booklet and associated one colour from the museum’s multi-coloured logo for each exhibit. This helped diff erentiate each section while still unifying the content as a whole.

Just For Laughs Pocket Folder

Just For Laughs Pocket FolderThe objective of this project was to create a pocket folder with a design that left a lasting impression. This folder was created for the Media Relations Department of the Just For Laughs Festival and would be used to send out festival information and press passes to local and international members of the media.For the design, I used the company’s colours, logo and mascot throughout. To make this pocket folder functional, the press passes were displayed in an original manner by having them inserted in to a tab with a hidden lanyard.

Registration Form Design

B.A.S.I.C. Program Registration FormsB.A.S.I.C. is a before-and-after school program with over 400 students at Gardenview Elementary School in Ville Saint-Laurent.These redesigned forms replace the originals, some of which dated back to the late 1990s. The new versions followed form design guidelines to allow suffi cient space to fi ll out the documents. These forms are also interactive so that parents can complete and submit their registration digitally.

Santropol Roulant Report

Santropol Roulant ReportSantropol Roulant is a non-profi t community organization based in Montreal.The objective of this project was to design a report for the organization that incorporated English and French together in an organized manner.This was achieved by separating both texts using diff erent headers, drop caps, colours and graphics. The report itself was divided into sections that are clearly identifi able by the reader and includes graphics that visually describe some elements or statistics in the text.

SiriusXM Canada Annual Report

SiriusXM Canada Annual ReportSiriusXM Canada is a radio broadcasting company that off ers satellite radio service with over 150 channels to paid subscribers in their cars, homes and on the go.The objective of this project was to take the company’s existing annual report and redesign the document to make it more attractive to readers. I achieved this by using colours, images and graphics throughout the report to stimulate readers and grab their attention.

“Recipes” Web App

“Recipes” Web AppWorking as part of a team, my partner and I had to develop a web-app that we thought would be useful for students. Our idea was an app that provided quick and easy recipes for those who are on the go or new to living on their own. The final result was an easy to navigate app that was divided into four sections (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks). Each recipe came with easy to follow instructions, a list of ingredients and cooking utensils as well as high quality photos.

“Where do I get off?” Montreal Touristic Website

“Where do I get off?” Montreal Tourist WebsiteThe Montreal Metro system is pretty unique when compared to other transit systems around the world. For this project, I worked with a team of two other students to create a touristic website using a simulation of the Montreal metro system.By scrolling on your screen, or clicking on the name of a metro station, you see the metro car traveling through the tunnels to reach a station. Once the train arrives at a station, you are presented with an iconic Montreal landmark or activity and some information about it.Using current web technologies, we designed the website to not only inform, but also provide an enjoyable user experience.
